My fiancé and I came to Waikiki for nine days to get married and have a honeymoon. The Waikiki Prince was in the perfect location to get to everything! Right in the middle of Waikiki, right by all of the shuttle pickups, right by a bus stop, and most importantly, a two minute walk to the beach. We were on... More

We took the city bus from the airport. Only a $1 for Srs. 2short blocks from last stop. Not at all fancy. Management nice. No elevator to top floor, but no problem for us. 2 blocks to beach and shopping all around. Close to Hiatt.

So there are no misunderstandings, if this hotel were to be rated solely on furnishings, it would be a 3 star. While the bedding was crisp, the carpeting fairly new and the bathroom clean, several parts of the unit could be improved. Some of the walls need patching, some of the larger appliances had exterior rust that could be sanded... More

Only one block back from the beach and right in the heart of Waikiki. Hotel is half the price of those on the beach yet you can still get partial ocean views from the balconies. Low rise buildings out from preserve an open airy feel and it was pretty quiet with good sleep quality. Rooms are relatively small but come... More

As the Royal Hawaiian is a bit out of my price range, I opted for the Waikiki Prince after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, Moon Handbook, and Lonely Planet. Location is a major plus--a short two block walk puts you on Waikiki, right at the statue of Duke the Surfer, a Waikiki landmark. I stayed here several nights with my daughter... More

As long as you come to this hotel with the right expectations, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It is not a resort, it is not situated directly on the beach, it doesn't have daily room cleaning or a handful of other services. If this is what you're looking for, then don't come here. If you want (probably) the best... More

I stayed here for 1.5 weeks in July, 2014 and was massively impressed. It was significantly cheaper than any other hotel I could find in the area and it's location was better. It takes about 2 mins to walk to Waikiki Beach, it's less than a 5mins walk to multiple bus stops and many of the island or experience tours... More

We stayed in Waikiki Prince Hotel on our first arrival to Waikiki and subsequently when we came back from Big Island. Chardonnay the reception staff was very helpful and friendly. She is always cheerful and went above and beyond her duties to help us find out info we needed. Mahalo Chardonnay. The rooms were clean and have everything we needed.... More

I generally have some very basic qualifiers for any hotel; it should be clean, comfortable, convenient and have a staff that seems to care to some degree about its customers. Coming from an area with a lot of high end luxury resorts, there is always the danger of using these as the litmus test. Its not always a fair comparison,... More

After booking this hotel, we advised them that our flight would not arrive until later in the evening, so we would require a late check-in. We arrived approximately 8:25 pm to find the door locked and a sign saying that office hours were 8 am to 8 pm. Another sign listed our name as a late check-in, and instructed us... More

Aloha Colleen017, I am sorry to hear about this situation. Our intercom system generally works well, calling several different numbers to different people. The cell phone backup also should have worked just in case the intercom did not work. It would really help if you could send me your date of check in and your real name. I will check... More
