We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel!the room was very roomy and we had two balconies, one looked out at the shops and street and the other the beach!there is so much to do,shopping, beach. We went out to breakfast every morning to island vintage coffee shop which is just down the road.everything is so close and if not it's just... More

I went back & forth choosing between 3 hotels- this one, Royal Hawaiian and Sheraton Waikiki. I did tons of searches, talked to people who had been here, and finally chose this hotel. I did book my last night at Sheraton Waikiki as I did want to see what the difference is. I SO wish I had done it differently.... More

Our family had to stay at this hotel for 1 night before flying home since Sheraton Waikiki where we stayed for 8 nights were all booked up. It is also located in a convenient location, however in my opinion is not as central as Sheraton Waikiki. However the room itself feels more luxury and spacious than Sheraton Waikiki. It is... More

We have returned to this hotel due to the great experience we had in 2013. This time we came for a college football game and chose the Moana due to its charming ambiance and its convenient location. There are many nice touches included in staying here. Housekeeping staff is prompt and efficient. Check in was awesome and we were given... More

It is a gorgeous hotel right on the beach. We had excellent ocean views out of our windows, but the room was terribly small. If you want to stay here verify the size of your room. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Bathroom was also tiny, but the shower was nice.

The Moana Surfrider had the most amazing king suites with waterfront views. Comfortable and luxurious. Here is a video of the room. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfzMAw9IG1I We had fantastic views of the hot surfing areas that I saw on the travel channel. Here is the video from our room https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wko0zFm6iGM They have fancy TOTO Toilets for those who know what a fancy toilet... More

We paid for the privilege, but the Ocean View Diamond Head Tower room, on the 18th floor had the most amazing views. The room was a good size and well appointed, and nice enough - nothing extra special --- except for the view up Waikiki Beach to Diamond Head, it was memorable. I would definitely recommend this room, especially if... More

I love this hotel. I stayed in a corner, oceanfront room in the heritage wing… right above the beach, with stunning views of both Diamond Head and the whole expanse of Waikiki Beach in both directions. The room was really superb. This hotel's restaurants serve fresh and healthy food, with many locally-sourced ingredients. I also loved sitting in the chairs... More

Pros: This property is BEAUTIFUL, fully restored with great Westin beds and lots of Hawaiian extras (we got so many free treats delivered to the room including chocolates and fruits!). We went for Thanksgiving and the main areas were beautifully decorated for the holidays during the time we were there. You can walk right onto the beach (see below) and... More
