Good place for the money with main street close by. Nice pool but the pictures should be updated as the rooms and other ares do not look as fancy as the images do. I recommend this place for travelers who do not want to hang out in the hotel too much.

The pool is great with a bar that offers great happy hour drink specials. The pool has possibly one of the best uninhibited views of Diamond Head Crater too. You can just chill out by the pool sipping cheap cocktails whilst lapping up the sun. The hotel rooms are fine, normal in size and cleanliness. This hotel's location isn't too... More

Well I spent weeks researching the hotels in Waikiki and this one seemed to be the better of the "affordable" hotels. I saw the good, the bad and then in-between reviews and thought I'd give it a go. I'll have to admit that our experience as a family with an 8mth old was both good and bad. let's begine with... More

Please save yourself the agony and not go to this hotel. Our room had a hole in the ceiling over the tub, the toilet was coming out to the floor and there were birds eating from the breakfast buffet and all the plates were dirty!! The staff have a terrible attitude, they are rude. If you do not complain about... More

The hotel has a great location. We purchased a one bedroom ocean front suite and loved it. Stunning views of Diamond Head and the beach. A travel companion purchased a basic room and we were very glad we spent the extra money to upgrade.

Stayed for a week in November 2014. Even though our room was small. We had booked a cheap rate in July , it was very comfortable. The staff were excellent, providing lots of info on places to go and where to eat. The coffee/ Icecream store in the lobby was great with the best icecream( 4 scoops for $5 )... More

This hotel is all about location, it's a block back from the main road but being set back that little distance it makes the hotel so much quieter, all the hotels along the beach front would have so much traffic noise continuously. This is definitely an older hotel (most are in Honolulu anyway) the air-conditioner was noisy but did the... More

We chose the Queen Kapiolani because it was very reasonably priced and in a good location. We were at the end closest to Diamond Head - next to the zoo. Everything was in easy walking distance and we were far enough away from the noisy main boulevard. The pool was nice but not large and we can't comment on the... More

Excellent location - across the road from the zoo and away from all the hustle and bustle of the strip. I thought the hotel was great value and the only drawback I could name was the lack of shade around the pool area!!

This was the third hotel we stayed at during our 18 night trip to Hawaii. We stayed here for 3 nights, we wanted to compare it to the previous places we stayed as this was the cheapest one. The hotel itself is clean and the room was compact but that didn't bother us too much, we had a good view... More
