No luxury, exactly. It had comfortable enough beds, kitchenette with the fridge. We bought groceries, since Hawaii is so expensive. Breakfast on the balcony was great. The proximity to the beach was the most important thing. I love walking around Waikiki. If you know you only will be in the room to sleep and use the bathroom, then it is... More

Location wise it's perfect. They were refurbishing the hotel on the day we left which is good as it is very dated inside and does need to be updated. The downside was the lifts were very slow and on the outside of the building & open to the elements. Saying that it has everything you could want...kitchen area and very... More

my boyfriend and I have stayed here three times now over the past 4 years. It was a bit dated, but it was clean, affordable, convenient, and the staff was great. Our fire alarm malfunctioned one evening at 3am, and they had someone to fix it within 20 minutes. That night was free on our tab. Will call you a... More

Stayed here for two nights while in transit to Guam. Very handy location to the shops on Waikiki, beach and good restaurants around Waikiki. During check-in I was very disappointed with the room given to me, (right on the top floor, with barely enough space to move around). I made this known to the staff and was immediately relocated to... More

Sadly, the Ohana Waikiki West is closing its doors at the end of this week. I'm afraid this was the last of the "budget hotels" in Waikiki--it was a great location, and we were fortunate enough to be there for the final few days of the International Marketplace across the street. I suspect the landscape will look VERY different by... More

We stayed here for a week in March, 2 adults and 2 kids. The first impressions of the hotel were not very good, looked very dated, and across the road of a major building site. On arrival to hotel, I went inside to see if I can get a bag trolley to get my bags in only to be told,... More

Another end of an era. The days of old Waikiki are slowly coming to an end. I've stayed here for years. I'll always remember the nice views of the International Market Place and the challenging parking lot. Thanks for all the great service, and memories Ohana West.

We had a nice time at this hotel. The hotel is old and is due to close for renovations and re open as a HYATT! This hotel is in a great location! The staff were very helpful. The hotel had everything that you would need for a nice stay. Mahalo to all the staff at OHANA WEST, wish everyone all... More

This hotel did not warrant charging a... More

I was making a stop in Honolulu for 2 nights and chose Ohana Waikiki West. This hotel is Ok for a night or two - but not more. First thing that you will notice about it is how old it is. My room was rather small and was facing a construction site. It was ok on the weekend, but they... More
