No complaints! We stay here every trip to Waikiki for its great location. We also know what we're getting, so the consistency and routine is nice. In a quickly changing Waikiki, it's nice to still have this vacation tradition left! Standard high rise Waikiki hotel. Clean rooms, small-ish showers, comfy beds, friendly staff. Lobby is quite crowded often, and the... More

I'm from Oahu but sometimes need to stay in a hotel when I've gone off island and lent my place out to family or friends and suddenly need a place on Oahu. It happens. I've stayed at maybe 1/3 of the hotels in Waikiki and Ohana Waikiki East is the perfect budget accommodation. It's not so budget that it's gross... More

After visiting Waikiki for the past 20 yrs, finally tried the Ohana East Hotel. Like most of the hotels in Waikiki, it is dated and in need of update. Our room was on the 16th floor with the pool view below. From the balcony you can actually see the ocean. The room had 2 double beds, mini fridge, in room... More

Many thanks for the recommendation to book with us when looking for a hotel room in Waikiki. Proudly a mid-tier product we do focus on our maintenance and cleaning alongside our service delivery. The property has a long history and whilst so many properties around us are redeveloping to attend to the demands of the upper mid-scale guests, our ongoing... More

I was happy with my stay at the Ohana East in Waikiki. I was surprised how large the room was, we had a twin room which had two double beds with a two seater couch and small table. The bathroom was disappointing it was very small and would struggle to fit to medium adults at once. I am small and... More

Many thanks for the recommendation to book with us when looking for a hotel room in Waikiki. Your statements “If you want a hotel to sleep and shower in a great location this you will like this hotel. I would stay here again purely for the fact that it is reasonably priced and in a great location” are very much... More

We had a great 4 night stay last week. We were pleasantly surprised at how well kept the hotel was. We even noted staff members in the hallways and garage keeping everything clean ! The furniture is dated but more important not a bug to be found. Yes, the hotel is not on the beach but you can be in... More

OHANA Waikiki East is unlike beachfront resorts where you may choose to spend your time indoors. Rather, it is an enjoyable home base for your Island adventures. Early surf, mornings on the beach Retail therapy, afternoon cocktails beachside Sublime dining, evenings of Island entertainment Enjoy Waikiki! Thank you so much for the wonderful recommendation on this forum. Delighted you enjoyed... More

Overall, very nice hotel. Helpful people, friendly faces, nice rooms and great location. Had to pay for wifi which is a first for me and was a little disappointed as was told the hotel had free wifi. Rooms had very poor lighting. Very comfy beds. Small shower recess. All in all great base for holidaying in Oahu.

We stayed in the 16th floor of this hotel for 11 nights. We previously stayed across the road at Ohana west and thought East was a bit of an upgrade. We had a 2 bedroom apartment over looking the work site of the market place. The work site was a little noisey. Our room was directly across from the lift... More

For economy, this hotel was a good choice as it is located in the center of everything you want to see in Waikiki. Ask for the city view, it really is much nicer than I anticipated! The bed was not as firm as I had hoped, so slept on the floor or on one mattress on the floor and in... More

This hotel and staff is the best in Waikiki. The breakfast is awesome. This hotel is very easy to acces via driving or walking. I would recommend this place to anybody travelign to Hawaii. We have stayed here multiple times and not once have we ever had an issue. They really make you feel like family.

Hello Corey This hotel and staff is the best in Waikiki. That is a statement we do not take lightly; many thanks. We appreciate different people have different budgets and reasons for travel. Our two company (Outrigger) beachfront properties are ideally suited to those looking for iconic views and time spent lazily enjoying the room itself. For us, proudly a... More

Hotel and staff were great! But the room was so so. The beds was uncomfortable and the bathroom did not have a vent and the bathroom sink would gargle up some backed up water here and there. But we had a great view of Waikiki so it made up for it, and a room is just to sleep in anyways... More
