This is a decent hotel for it's location. The place is a bit outdated but the main reception area is nice. The room we stayed in was alright, it had the bare essentials but it was pretty gloomy since we were on the 2nd floor- but really, who could complain for the price.... The only "bad" thing I can say... more

Aloha. Thank you for writing about your recent visit with us. My deepest apologies for any inconveniences the noise from the final phases may have caused, and appreciated your understanding during your stay. It is with great pleasure that I announce the completion of our awaited renovation! The Aqua Bamboo has completed many changes to its public area, most recently,...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel due to a budget we were trying to keep. The hotel ran us around $100 a night and seemed like a great deal considering the location. In Honolulu all hotels are a little dated and most of them have been reinvented through remodeling to a more modern chic appearance and this is... more

Loved my stay at Bamboo! The staff were very helpful and accomodating. They were able to answer any question, no matter how off base my questions tend to be, and if they didn't know the answer, they would find out for me. On our first night, we were shocked to find out that a room with two beds was not... more

The biggest factors for my wife and I were of course price, but also atmosphere, room quality, breakfast, a pool and location. The location was to die for, 2 blocks away from the cener of waikiki beach with a view overlooking the (albiet slightly distant) pacific. The lobby was very inviting and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The... more

When the travel agent booked my son (age 9) and me into this property, I read some reviews here and was quite concerned. For the price we paid, however (under $100/night with 5th night free), the hotel was reasonable. The room was small and had a bit of a musty smell, but an open window took care of it. We... more

A large group of us booked three rooms here for a week. When we arrived, two of the three rooms did not meet the specs that we had asked for. The two rooms had an awful smell; after complaining the next day, we were moved to adequate rooms and we had no problems for the rest of the trip. The... more

This is probably the best located budget hotel you'll find in Waikiki and for that reason alone I would definitely stay here again. I was very disappointed when I arrived that after having specifically requested a room with two beds (through the hotel's own website), our room only had 1 bed in it, and this after a very long journey... more

Researching hotels through travel books and the internet, I found the Aqua Bamboo, a small boutique (feng-shui) hotel which has the reputation of being "a gem", and which sounded like the perfect place for a peaceful two weeks, yet located in Waikiki near the beach. When I arrived, I was stunned by the beauty and atmosphere of the lobby -... more

I recently stayed at this hotel to potentially arrange a group booking for 20-30 pax for my up comming wedding in Hawaii. Being a travel agent there was no mention of any redevelopment which I soon discovered when I checked into my room. Prior to arriving I sent an email to their group reservation manager to arrange a tour of... more

Aqua Bamboo and Spa is committed to providing “Aloha” and “Guest Satisfaction” to all our guests and I sincerely apologize for not making this happen in this situation. It is because of this commitment, Aqua places the “Aqua Promise” fish card in every unit to help our guests during their stay should they have any concerns regarding their accommodations. The...

I was very afraid of staying at this hotel because of some of the bad things I read on here, but there was nothing wrong with this property! My boyfriend and I stayed in a moderate room from the 2-9 of April. Upon arriving we felt very welcome. The staff is excellent. When we first arrived we had a problem... more
