My family and I stayed at the Leilani Suite unit 501 for the first few days of March. It was a very nice older style unit with a full kitchen and 1 bathroom. Great views from the Lanai. Only fault is thatn the 2nd bedroom was throught the masterbedroom to get to it. So when you had to use the... more

We enjoyed a very relaxing and rejuvenating stay at a privately owned apartment at The Diamond Head Beach Hotel. The view from the lanai was spectacular as we could see both the ocean and Diamon Head. The location of the apartment is only a 5 minute walk to Kaimana Beach and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the aquarium,... more

We stayed for a week in the Hibiscus suite which we booked through VRBO.com and Ohana Beach Rentals Hawaii. We traveled with two adults, two school age children and a baby. The suite had two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a bath with a shower (no tub). It was clean and comfortable and had a nice lanai with an ocean... more

The DHBH is probably the biggest cockroach hotel, dive in all of Honolulu. The rooms are small and the entire feel of the place is very odd! It is a mix of regular people living there and tourists. Do not be tempted by the rates, move onto better places in Waikiki! more

This is the best sunset spot on the island. From our third-floor lanai in the Hibicus Suite (booked privately and not through the hotel), we witnessed the day end from a fantastic vantage point. This condo is spacious, well maintained, well stocked, comfortable and convenient to Waikiki and the Kapahulu neighborhood. Parking is 25 cents/hour on the street 10 a.m.-... more

penthouse is NOT a penthouse, no rooms with direct oceanfront view, very small unit, no beach access, tiny lawn, no BBQ or any amenities and unfriendly staff and incompetent manager of unit who charged us $25 for his mistake and was out of the state with no back up support for guest issues. more

Glad we only stayed just one night. The pictures made it look fairly decent BUT: only one wall was re-painted; the beds were so old that you were really just sleeping on the wire coils and the website made it seem like you would get at least two queens but we only got two doubles; old, disgusting bedding with bed... more

I made reservations on line after seeing the rooms and felt I was getting a good deal. I was expecting two double bed and found that there was only one bed so our son had to sleep on the floor. The carpets were stained and filthy. The room was generally dirty. The trash was never emptied in the three days... more

Details: Priceline reservation- $125/nite. [If using Priceline never give a rate over $100. That is the asking price, unless high season?] Room 502. Hotel room with small refrigerator only. Parking $17/day. Check-in: Would not let me check in earlier than 3:00pm. The “fob” for the parking garage did not work; was quickly resolved. Other than that, non-eventful. Room: The room... more

Stayed at Diamond Head Beach Hotel in 2007 NOVEMBER. Was a little worried due to the past reviews, but found the staff to be present and helpful. Front desk not only gave us directions, but also gave us detailed maps of places we wanted to go. Our room was on the third floor and it offered the best view. Parking... more
