My friends and I decided to stay at a Waikiki hotel for the Halloween weekend. Initially, we had booked a room at the Aston Waikiki Banyan, which is located right across the street from its sister property, the Waikiki Sunset. It wasn't until a phone call to the Waikiki Banyan the morning of our check-in did we discover that we... more

I'm gonna give a very honest review. I loved the location and most of the staff was friendly minus a few. I ended up beating all of my friends to Hawaii, flight and connection problems. They weren't arriving for six more hours and I had never been to Hawaii. I grabbed the rent a car, checked into the hotel, and... more

Aloha Mr. Bryant, Mahalo for sharing your experience of staying with us. As I've stated in some of my previous response to guest postings, there are always two-sides to a story or complaint in this case. All hotels require that some form of credit is established upon check in regardless of your room & tax being prepaid. It can be...

I am a GM of a hotel in Lake Tahoe, and believe me I am quite fussy when it comes to all the aspects of a guests stay. Each staff member I encountered during my eight day stay were all very friendly, helpful, and professional. Kudos especially to Ofelia at the front desk. I booked a one bedroom deluxe ocean... more

Aloha TahoeGM, From one GM to another, Mahalo for your great comments and suggestions. Being in the industry, I too am very particular when staying at another hotel. If I see a great idea, I like to implement them at my property. An when I find something that I don't like, I make sure we don't have the same situation...

We had a 7 night stay and it was very enjoyable. Clean ocean-front 1 bedroom room on the 25th floor. With the patio door open, traffic noise is noticeable. Updated room had granite counters and new appliances. Comfortable furniture with a large flat-screen TV. 3 blocks from the beach and zoo. Just what we were looking for and met all... more

My parents and I just returned from 3 nights stay at the Aston Waikiki Sunset. I had booked a deluxe ocean view one bed room suite well in advance, got great deal ($129/n) from Aston web site. Our room was on 25th floor with good view of Diamond head and ocean between highrise buildings. The room is nicely updated, very... more

I especially appreciate your comment regarding our comfortable sofa bed. They have a 7 inch mattress so you don't feel the support bar that you would in a typical sofa bed. With our new...

It's not the fanciest place, but it's clean and convenient to everything. Having a kitchen was a real money saver (hit Costco for groceries on the way from the airport). The view from our room was really nice. We would definitely stay there again. more

Aloha Tempest_Tossed, Mahalo for choosing to stay with us during your visit to our beautiful island. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, a visit to Costco or Sam's Club is a great recommendation. Just don't go with an empty stomach as most people tend to buy too much groceries when doing so. :)...

Our room had a full kitchen and separate bedroom on the 34th floor. It overlooked the city, which was beautiful at night. The room had been updated --lots of room and clean and we enjoyed it very much. The elevators were very slow, but we were fine with the wait as it wasnt horribly long. The concierge was new that... more
