Given the comments about the noise volume at night, I was a bit hesitant about booking a room for five nights here, but did so due to the USD100/evening or thereabouts charge I was able to secure for a deluxe room on floor 11. As a sensitive sleeper, the earplugs helped as well as sleeping in the queen bed that... more

Considering what other hotels charge in the area. No, it's not ON the beach, no, the pool is not great (who comes to Hawaii for a pool anyway?), but we loved our stay there. We found another hotel to park at that was cheaper, and opened their parking lot to anyone who paid. We had a corner room on the... more

Upon arrival we were greeted by a nice young man who proceeded with the check in procedure, which was fast and painless. Within moments of arriving to our room, 1515, our luggage arrived. My 11 year old son instantly turned on the tv in the main room area and for some reason it was going through channels on its own,... more

Hotel has several advantages: Central location on Waikiki, though not directly on beach; unlike other Waikiki hotels, this one guarantees two queen sized beds; reasonable rates. The hotel room is average, the pool very small, and lobby small. This is a good hotel for families with teens, as it is easy for everyone to set out on their own by... more

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Waikiki Wave. The staff was very friendly the whole time we were there. I had booked the Superior Aloha Suite; however, the hotel had overbooked those rooms so instead my family had 2 rooms, one with two queen size beds and the other with one queen size and and a king size bed... more

If you want to get a good nights sleep, don't stay here. There is a club right downstairs from the hotel. I could hear them all night. Malfunctioning A/C. Repair guy said he fixed it, but it still rattled and pumped out hot air. Bathroom was a nightmare. clogged sinks and shower. Got to shower in standing water every morning.... more

The hotel itself isn't bad. The lobby is dowdy but the staff was helpful and the rooms themselves are really very nice and tastefully decorated. It was a bit weird to have two burly guys at the doors after 10 pm to keep out the homeless people who loiter in the area, but after a day or so (were there... more

The bars close about 203 am & there is one on the first floor of the hotel. The people move outside and talk, laugh, argue very loudly for at least another hour. We were on the 4th floor and heard this all very clear. It may not be a good place for people travelling with small children. The room was... more

This hotel is an excellent choice for the value-minded. Above average hotel at a low rate for the Waikiki area. An easy walk to all of the Waikiki attractions. The only negative was the noise on weekends. I would suggest a room on the upper floors and away from the parking ramp. If you do end up across from the... more

Stayed at Aqua Waikiki Wave for 5 nights in Mar of 2008. There are tons of hotel choices in Waikiki but I would stay here again for the LOCATION and PRICE. We stayed on the 11th floor with 2 queen beds. The room was large with a mini-frig. The bathroom is on the small scale but no major complaints here.... more
