Hotel is 2 blocks from the beach. Free beachtowels are provided. Continental breakfast is avarage, not very special. Orangejuice has a lot of water in it (probably due to the melted icecubes). It is not at a beach for lounging on, but everything is a short walk away: the beach, restaurants, stores, public transportation. The decor was quite art deco and clean. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Our room overlokked the Ala Wai Canal which was nice although lots of traffic. My husband loved the view however, said it reminded him of home. I would have loved some eggs at the continetal breakfast, but overall it was a good experience. more

The 'Coconut' is a great little hotel. Close enough to the 'action' but in a quiet convenient location. The best feature of this newly refurbished,clean hotel is the warm and friendly atmosphere. During our stay we checked in and out three times (island and mainland trip). We were upgraded each time! more
