We stayed at the Waikiki Banyan last year and because we enjoyed our stay so much we came back again this year. Our whole experience, overall, was again wonderful. The ladies we that we spoke with in reservations were great. Very helpful and cheerful. The room we got this time was not what we'd expected. After speaking with the Front... more

My family which included two children (12 and 14 yrs old) came back to the Banyan after exactly 20 years since it was our wedding anniversary. We had a great time, check in was easy (and friendlier than the Waikoloa Hilton that we travelled to next!). Good things: clean and comfortable suite, regular clean towel delivery including pool towels, good... more

Near diamond head, it isn't the "party scene" area of the beach, and it is a great hotel for families with young children. We were on the 37th floor (there are 38 floors), with a wonderful ocean view (the Marriot Hotel kind of blocks the center view, but it worked for us). Small condo style rooms made it comfortable and... more

So, my family and I stayed at the Waikiki Banyan on June 4th to June 6th. First impression was pretty good. Seemingly clean kitchen, clean floors, and clean bed. TV reception was no good though with every channel being fuzzy and at times, I couldn't even tell what was on. Overall though, everything seemed to be ok. So why the... more

Large, clean, and well stocked rooms. I experienced no delays in the elevators. The pool was closed the entire time we were there. It is closer to Diamond Head than I like to be. The price of parking is going up I believe in June and it was already $8.00. There is no restaurant, and there are alot of catchs... more

Recently returned from our stay at the Waikiki Banyan (11 days). We stayed in Tower 1, 36th floor. The view was spectacular and the room was fore the most part, very comfortable. The only exception was the sofa sleeper which was un-useable as a bed. The mattress on it was so thin and worn out that the bars were right... more

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is. I read the reviews prior to going and was somewhat nervous about some of the things other guests have experienced. I DID NOT SEE ONE ROACH the whole time I was there. I expected to see a few since I read a few roach encounter reviews but my room was... more

The room had a mildrew smell when we first arrived but I had air freshers to help with that. Three of us stayed in the room and it worked out great for us. We were disappointed that the pool was closed the week we were there. Luckly the beach is just a block away. We took a few tours and... more

I just returned from a weeks stay at the Waikiki Banyan and was extremely disappointed. I had read many of the reviews on Trip Advisor so I had seen a couple that had mentioned roaches, but I had hoped that these were the exceptions and that I would be lucky enough to avoid this problem. Unfortunately, this was not the... more
