Only 1 restaurant in hotel. No lounge or bar at the pool. Had to take taxi to eateries and Waikiki. Beach wa a good walk across main thoroughfare. Hotel was clean and employees very accomodating. Beach room had nice view. Would not stay again on next trip. more

We spent one night at this hotel on a long layover on our way home from our wedding trip. We arrived at the hotel at 6.30am and were lucky enough to be given access to our room right away. The room was on the small side, but was more than adequate for us. We spent some time lying out on... more

I had a partial ocean view room in the Kona tower. The lobby and the rooms had been renovated with spa-like blue paint and brushed metal fixtures. Unfortunately, I didn't realize when the room description said "one bed" the one bed in the room would be a double rather than a queen or a king sized bed. I was disappointed,... more

This is an OK hotel, but from my experience, there are better choices in Honolulu. I booked a room because I was attending a conference at the convention center just down the street. The room was clean, but the price was high, room was small, TV had a very small screen and the remote worked intermittently. We had free internet... more

This is our third time on the island but first time at this property. This hotel is a nice hotel, very close (walking distance) to the convention center and right next door to the huge shopping center Ala Moana Shopping center. The hotel has two towers. It is imperative to stay in the newer one which is the Wakiki Tower.... more

I stayed here for a conference. Rooms were good and clean. My issue was with the front-desk service. I had issues with my Internet connection. Being as this was a work conference (Ala Moana advertises itself as a conference hotel), having Internet was essential. I went to the front desk to ask them for help, and they were indifferent and... more

This hotel is definitely dated and needs a remodel. The rooms in the Kona Tower are quite small but they are clean. The hotel location is ideal next to Ala Moana Center and Beach Park; however, parking is expensive. It is a good alternative to the expensive hotels in Waikiki. However, be aware that the walls are thin and you... more

Stayed for a weekend night, with great kamaaina rates. Definitely one of the better hotels in honolulu, and the location has name recognition. The hotel was recently updated, with modern furnishings. No drippy AC units or rusty faucets here! more

The rooms were nice but very few (if any) creature comforts. For some reason, the small televisions did not work well and the volume was non-adjustable? There was no room service, nor was there a mini bar (with snacks) in the room. The only restaurant was Japaneese, good but not 5 nights in a row, and the bar and B-fast... more

If we hadn't have gotten our hotel for free through the World for $1 promotion, my review probably would've slightly slanted more to the negative. If you're in search of a hotel, this is one of many. The parking is expensive. The hotel lobby gets kind of loud on the weekend in the evenings. They have a nightclub called Rumors... more
