Hotel was surprisingly quiet for being in such a busy area. I had a nice (albeit smallish) room with a stunning view. Some restaurants in the hotel, however, some were closed. Nightclub in the hotel is fun and frequented by locals as well as tourists. Shops on the bottom floor proved quite convenient. Business service center is awful - i... more

We've stayed there several times, for both business and pleasure and we always found the experience very nice. Shopping at the Ala Moana Shopping Center is really great, world class and lots of fun. This is a very safe area. So as a woman traveling alone I feel quite safe. When my husband and I go together we like going... more

I stayed here during a conference and the location is excellent, very close to the conference center, just adjacent the huge shopping mall and not at all too far from the Ala Moana Beach Park or Waikiki, for someone used to do some walking at least. It's a relief not having to stay right in the middle of Waikiki which... more

I've stayed at the Ala Moana 6 times now and it's really grown on me. It's not perfect, but you really can't beat the location or the price. The hotel itself is not beach front, but the Ala Moana beach park is an easy walk. The shopping center is incredibly convenient and has lots of great food options, and Waikiki... more

We found the hotel to be extremely well located. Just outside of Waikiki, attached to shopping, and convenient to town and other areas of the island made it an enjoyable stay. Hotel room in Waikiki tower is small but the balcony made for pleasant morning coffee. King bed room with a pull out sofa bed had room enough for 2,... more

The rooms in the Kona Tower city/mountain view (cheaper rooms), are right across the street from a strip mall/apartment complex that gets its trash picked up (very loudly) from 3 - 7 a.m. every morning. You will not have to be a light sleeper to be awakened by the banging and alarms of the trash trucks. This is not something... more

This hotel is about 2 blocks back from Ala Moana Beach Park, and connected to the Ala Moana shopping center. The good things - * Clean room, I had a balcony with a bit of ocean view. The room was a good size, with 2 double beds, 2 chairs, work desk. * Easy access to Ala Moana, which has many... more

We loved the Ala Moana Hotel due to it's location - near bus stations to all points in Oahu, hotel is connected to the best shopping center in Oahu with food court and restaurants around and a post office as well as Foodland grocery store, We also loved that it is just accross the Ala Moana beach park. If you... more

I was supposed to spend several weeks at this hotel while working in Honolulu, but decided to move to a different hotel in Waikiki after one week and was glad I made the move. In a nutshell, the pros: adjacent to the mall, close to Ala Moana Beach Park, fairly close to downtown, helpful/friendly staff, GREAT fitness center, and coin-op... more
