From the moment you are entering the turnaround at the entrance until your last goodbye this gem of a hotel seated at the base of Diamondhead will give you memories that will last you a lifetime. The staff are filled with Aloha! the perfect hotel for a stray action!

This hotel is in a secluded, dark area away from other Waikiki hotels. It is outdated and has a strange smell in the hallways. Staff was friendly, but that was the only positive thing I could find about staying here. Our room was the size of a shoebox.

We stayed there last year and the hotel was great. sat on a private beach and the staff was so helpful. we bought a bottle of wine and had no wine opener so we called the front desk, and they brought us a cork and glasses and even helped recommend food options. would definitely stay there again. the room was... Waikiki has become a bit like Las Vegas without the gambling. Kaimana Beach is just down the road and within walking distance of Waikiki. The hotel is understated, quiet, calm and relaxing. The beach is perfect with good swimming and snorkeling. The staff are very good, friendly and accommodating. A boutique hotel with all the amenities you need including surfboards... More

We just visited Oahu for our first Hawaiian experience to celebrate joint 40th Birthdays. We stayed at the New Otani from April 8- April 15th 2015. I chose the New Otani because it's beach front on San Souci/Kaimana beach, and an excellent value money wise. The New Otani exceeded my every expectation! I booked an Ocean View room. We ended... My wife and I love the ambience at the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. High floor mini suites offer panoramic views. With Diamond Head, the Pacific Ocean and swaying palm trees, it's a win, win, win. All staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast at the Hau Tree Lanai is tops ... how do those limbs intertwine so gracefully?

We were pleased with the New Otani. The room was small, but it worked for us. We had a fabulous view of Diamond Head from our room and private deck. You can walk out the back of the hotel right onto the beach. There is a great little store to buy some food and drink items since restaurants are very... More

Fantastic location, a pleasant walk into Waikiki either through the park or on the beach front. This hotel is not modern, but it has a charm all of its own, and the sunsets from the balcony are not to be missed! All staff were very pleasant and helpful and housekeeping was superb! Would recommend this hotel if you want to... More

The New Otani is a fantastic oasis on the water in Honolulu. We have stayed here multiple times to get away from the house and crowds that you get staying on the strip in Waikiki. Yet, with just a 5 minute walk along the beach, you are in the thick of it. Best of both worlds with a friendly staff... More

This was our second time staying at the New Otani. Although the hotel is a bit older, in terms of decor and furnishings, as compared to some other hotels, the location is unbeatable. It is on the other end of Waikiki, closer to Diamond Head, so much, much quieter and peaceful. You can still walk into "central" Waikiki (about a... More
