My wife and I love the ambience at the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. High floor mini suites offer panoramic views. With Diamond Head, the Pacific Ocean and swaying palm trees, it's a win, win, win. All staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast at the Hau Tree Lanai is tops ... how do those limbs intertwine so gracefully?

We were pleased with the New Otani. The room was small, but it worked for us. We had a fabulous view of Diamond Head from our room and private deck. You can walk out the back of the hotel right onto the beach. There is a great little store to buy some food and drink items since restaurants are very... More

Fantastic location, a pleasant walk into Waikiki either through the park or on the beach front. This hotel is not modern, but it has a charm all of its own, and the sunsets from the balcony are not to be missed! All staff were very pleasant and helpful and housekeeping was superb! Would recommend this hotel if you want to... More

The New Otani is a fantastic oasis on the water in Honolulu. We have stayed here multiple times to get away from the house and crowds that you get staying on the strip in Waikiki. Yet, with just a 5 minute walk along the beach, you are in the thick of it. Best of both worlds with a friendly staff... More

This was our second time staying at the New Otani. Although the hotel is a bit older, in terms of decor and furnishings, as compared to some other hotels, the location is unbeatable. It is on the other end of Waikiki, closer to Diamond Head, so much, much quieter and peaceful. You can still walk into "central" Waikiki (about a... More

We stayed here in February and had a wonderful stay ! The room was small ...but really well thought out ...so we did not feel like we were lacking anything! We did have a partial ocean view from our balcony. The employees were very helpful and kind! You can find free parking spots on the street after 6 at night... More

I stayed here with my family and enjoyed having a quieter (though not quiet) stay on Waikiki with the sights within walking distance. We appreciated having some separation from the main area of Waikiki. The views from the clean and adequate (ocean waikiki superior) rooms were quite good -- all glass wall and a sliding door. We were able to... More

We stayed at the New Otani Kaimana Beach hotel for five nights. We stayed in a moderate room on the 4th floor of the tower part of the hotel. The room was listed as "no view", so was much cheaper than the beach view rooms. However, when we sat on our balcony, we could still see the beach or diamond... More

So we wanted a cheap option in Waikiki and stumbled across this hotel which was far cheaper than prices we had for private rooms in hostels at £75 a night including taxes, booking through Amoma. Do your research like I did and you will know there is no pool, the hotel is on the beach and some 10 minutes walk... More

this is the 3rd time i have stayed at this lovely hotel. although technically in waikiki, it is separated from the bright lights of the big hotels by kapiolani park and beach front. i had a great room w/ a wall of glass facing the pacific and looking over this locals patronized beach, sans souci. there is a stream out...
