I got used to the height of our room on the street side by having breakfast on the balcony in the mornings and watching the city come alive with the sunrise. We arrived Hotel at 10:30am after an overnight flight. However staff said the room was not available and asked us to call at 1pm. We live on Kauai but anytime we need to travel to Oahu for pleasure or business we always stay at the Waikiki Marina Resort. The staff are awesome, and the accomodations are very clean and comfortable. Staff are very attentive to your needs. We rented a condo from a private party. The room was good size and had a dividing slider wall. Due to the shape of the building, there are many different views you could have, i.e. water, marina, street, opposite building. We lucked out with a great direct view of the Hilton Lagoon and ocean. The hotel rooms were very clean, new furnishings, good price. The downside - valet parking only - $18/day + tips, the tennis courts are (still) not repaired, located at the marina not the beach. more
