Just opposite the zoo, 4 stories with shared dorms, private rooms, free pancake breakfasts each morning, great economical tours, good laundry facilities, friendly helpful staff and adequate kitchen and fridges for your food.

The reason I'm giving this place two stars was for their friendliness, complimentary pancake breakfast one morning and proximity to the places we wanted to see (Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head). Otherwise it was in need of a lot of updating and cleaning. We had a large private room (good) but the windows were facing a hotel (loud) and there... More

This hostel was just average. I've stayed in many hostels in different parts of the world and there was nothing spectacular about this one except the location. Pros: Location....a block from Waikiki beach. Free daily pancake breakfast. Option for male, female, mixed, or private rooms. Free wifi. $2 for a towel and you can change it out as many times... This hostel is nothing special. The rooms are pretty basic but the location is very good. There is free Wi-FI and they have a kitchen that is free to use. When I visited there wasn't that much of a party-feeling. I know it has to be quite at all hostels at 11 pm, but they could at least try to... More

For all travellers who are on a budget; don't waste your money on this hostel! It's just all worn out. The rooms, beds, furniture, kitchen (your eating near cars and other rubbish)....it's just all horrible. Yes, they are in a great location, just near Waikiki Beach, but so is everything else around this hostel. For an alternative: try Royal Grove... More

We stayed at Polynesian Beach Hostel in February of this year. We found the staff to be very accommodating and friendly. Another great thing is that it's very close to the beach. It's not luxury, we had a private room joined to the dorm. This suited fine. There were novelties like free breakfast and themed dinner nights which were great.... More

Its really close to the beach so I didn't even bother put my flipflops on going there. The staff is really nice and helpful and the rooms are nice. Good kitchen... More

Good beds, relaxed kind of people of all over the world. They have tours in the hostel. Good: homie space with cooking at some nights, bbq in the parking lot. Bad: there is one manager with a long beard. He can be very racist with non caucasians... The principal manager is lovely. Also the other staff members. This is a... More

All these people complaining about this venue obviously haven't stayed in hostels before. The staff are always friendly and relaxed. The facilities are all a little tired, but what they lack in quality, they make up for with free wifi, free breakfast and close location to the beach and shops..!

The staff go out of there way to make sure you are welcome and happy. The tours and cheap food they supply are convenient and yum! The hostel is basic but very clean! Bathrooms are just decent. The kitchen and common area are great for meeting everyone and the free snorkels, mats, boards and umbrellas are totally worth using! They... More
