I stayed at this hostel for 5 nights in a private room. For the most part, my stay was okay. I'm not picky in terms of hostels but there are quite a few things I think you should be aware of before booking at this hostel! Cons: -NO ALCOHOL and they will confiscate. We were unaware of this before booking... More

Stayed 4 nights in a double room and couldn't fault this place for price and location plus cleanliness. Sure there is inner city noise from rubbish trucks etc but the location close to beach and shops makes up for it. Friendly front desk staff helped us with our luggage and questions

I stayed here for (in all 2-weeks) whilst travelling around Hawaii. After having a bad experience at another Hostel, I stumbled across this gem and to this day I miss the place and the people. Everyone congregates and uses the kitchen / common room and there were a mix of ages and backgrounds, which made for a very friendly and... More

I stayed at this hostel for four nights. The staff was very nice. I arrived in the late evening and was welcomed very nicely. The mattresses are very thin and it gets noisy at night due to the a/c of the neighbouring building. The location is great (2 blocks to Waikiki beach).

I stayed at Hi waikiki for 1 week in a private room. Had a really good stay. Very fast wi fi, clean room, friendly and helpful staff, felt very safe as each guest has its own key to get into the building. The location is a must, 1 block from the beach and main attractions. Hardly recommend for short or... More

When I went to San Diego, I stayed in an albergue which had at least 15 beds per room. It was really bad. This hostel is near of a bunch of bus stops (I did not rest a car because it is so expensive by 2 people or less). Beyond it has 3 - 5 beds per room the atmosphere... More

I enjoyed my stay here at Hostelling International Waikiki. The location of this hostel is fantastic! The hostel is around two blocks away from Waikiki beach and shopping areas such as DFS and a block away from the bus stop. The room we stayed in was clean and quite spacious. They don't have air conditioning but the cool, windy weather... More

Nice hostel. Fantastic location, which is two blocks from the beach. Newly renovated and clean kitchen with a gas stove. Staff is pleasant. Rooms are cleaned everyday, but naturally because it is a beach area, people bring in sand on their shoes. All bathrooms could use a hand towel and/or paper towels. Fortunately, I had great roommates during my stay.... More

Perfect choice for the budget conscious traveller. Rooms are small, immaculate, and have their own bathroom. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location near Waikiki Beach meant we could easily alternate swims, naps and meals whenever we chose. After our visit to the Big Island we are returning for another week. This was my brother's first stay at a hostel and... More

This hostel is conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki area, being just two short blocks away from the beach. You can easily take a stroll down Kalakua Ave. to reach all the resorts, restaurants and retail shops. Everything you need is just a short distance away. This is also the hub where you can rent a car or take... More
