If visiting Hawaii I would suggest skipping this hostel and going for a hotel, for the difference in price ($100 extra full trip) it's worth it. Rooms are dirty, bunks are unstable. Worst of all NO AIR CON - the most important thing you need in Hawaii after a day in the sun. I've seen the more favourable reviews say... More

This hostel is friendly and clean with lockers available in dormitories, but bring your own locks. The rooms are very basic. Upstairs room that we started in had no main door, only a flyscreen, so there was no privacy. No doors in either of the rooms we were in went to the floor, leaving large gaps. The first bed was... This hostel has a great location and of course the price was right. I just didn't like how the WIFI did not work in the rooms. What really bothered me was the WIFI not working strongly in the main areas where they said it would be working. Sleeping here was okay but there's nothing anyone can do about the outside... More

Area is secure, need to pass a gate to get to the hostel. Well located, 5min walk to everything: grocery, restaurants, beach, etc. Staff is present and helpful. The open air area with the hammocks is great and the breeze is most welcome at night. The downside is that there are some bugs, and even found a cockroach at our... More

Stayed at Seaside Hawaiian hostel at the end of June for three nights in a dorm. The hostel is back off Seaside avenue and has a good security gate at the entrance. Arrived to check in and was told the rate had gone up from $35/night as quoted on my deposit receipt to 39/night. Bit annoyed but nothing I can... More

The staff is friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome and relaxed. Our ever need was accommodated with the utmost care and respect. Some of the perks: breakfast every morning. snorkel gear, extra towels and boogie boards for the beach. And laundry service on site. We are already planning our next trip to Hawaii and plan to stay here!

Everything was great. Really friendly helpful staff and convenient location. Rooms are cleaned daily. This is my first experience of a hostel and so glad I read the reviews of the other places I might have stayed instead. this one is a treasure. Enjoyed chatting to other guests and had good sleeps despite the constant Waikiki background noise. My only... More

The staff were a friendly, helpful bunch. The other guests were respectful and polite. We have never felt so at home away from home. The idea that a traveler would choose to stay at a hostel, and then complain that it wasn't like a posh hotel is outrageous. The rooms and kitchens are clean, the sheets were washed and lovely.... The hostel is very nice and clean. The kitchen is great, they have all new stuff. The people here were very friendly and the staff as well. It is perfectly located three blocks from waikiki beach and bus stop. One thing bad, they dont have lockers, but the rest is perfect!

This place is not like a european hostel, is not very well organized and neather a exemple of cleanliness, but the location is amazing. 10 minutes walking to waikiki beach and close to good restaurants and bars. the staff is very nice and friendly, you can borrow from the hostel beach mats and snorkel masks. Considering the price for acommodation... More
