lovely helpful staff, clean and fully equipped kitchen, clean rooms&bathroom, free breakfast. Only suggestion is to add some lockers to sharing dorms(6,7) there is availability to lock your stuff next to the reception but still .. anybody can access to this locker so doesn't really feel like 100% safe.

Pretty late review, but it has to be done! I stayed here from Jan 25th-30th, and out of the two others I stayed at, this was my favourite. Pros: -Shared kitchen, easy to meet people -Very central common area -Good rules regarding personal items in bathrooms, etc. Some hostels I went to were absolutely disgusting, however, Seaside had a "no... I stayed in February two times in this hostel. It is clean and located in the heart of Waikiki and close to the beach. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I shared a dorm room which was totally fine. The wifi in the room doesn't work all the time. Breakfast is ok u get free toast. If I come... More

This hostel is in a great location. It's gated and I felt safe walking around the area. A quick walk down the street and a will put you right by Dukes. The lockers were big and had a shelf. Great for keeping organized. It can get a little noisy in the middle of the night when the garbage trucks get... More

Rooms are basic but nice, no air con but the fans make it bearable, good shared areas and helpful staff. Cheapest place on the island, the wifi in the rooms wasn't too good but in communal areas worked fine

Loved every minute of my stay here! The rooms were nothing special, but they were comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. Great open area in the middle for hanging out and relaxing. And best of all, less than 5 minutes walk to Waikiki Beach! Would definitely return!

Stayed here 10 days and it was awesome. Safe, gated hostel, super clean rooms constantly being cleaned and the bathrooms were close to ones you'd find in a regular home. I was really impressed. WiFi was touch and go in the rooms but strong signal in the courtyard and the kitchen. The staff is really friendly and the hostel has... More

The Good: The location is excellent, as is the price. Close to Waikiki Beach and the nearby bus makes all major tourist areas accessible. Some staff members are excellent: they love Hawaii, and seem to love helping you out (though beware, there are a few grumps). There are a few days with free waffle breakfasts and free dinners. BBQs also... More

Not overly clean in the showers but a safe place for travelers with a bit of sense. If you don't like bugs, don't go to the tropics. Really good about enjoying the patio as long as 11pm quiet is observed. Loved it!
