Really nice, clean and comfortable hotel (IKEA decorated), in a perfect location for Waikiki beach and shopping and buses to other places. The balcony was nice too. Staff really friendly and helpful. Only negative was slow wifi, sometimes not working at all.

I stayed there 10-12 Jan 2015 and found it very pleasant, hospitable, homey. I don't like cold, international chain hotels so Stay Motel worked well. They have computers, a bar, and are only a few steps from restaurants. The motel is a little bohemian, a youth hostel feel except you get your own room and shower. My only complaint is... More

Aloha Paula, Thank you for the great review, I'm happy to hear you had a great stay with us and that you received great service. We agree that the chairs even though they're cute they're not the most comfortable, we are currently replacing these with more comfortable chairs and we will soon be installing new windows to help with the... It was not what I expected; pictures were kind of deceiving. front desk staff was courteous though. Parking was kind of far away. Windows did not shut all the was so air could not be felt and the door to our room would not shut well. Told front desk and maintenance was suppose to fix it while we were out.... More

We stayed in room 605. It suited our needs and we were very pleased. Next time I am going to spend more time in the exciting lounge. The karaoke sounded fantastic. The WIFI was fast and included in the $10 daily surcharge.

We chose Stay Hotel because it was cheap and in a good location - it's literally a street behind the main strip and the beach. The room was fairly clean however upon arrival my bed sheets were dirty. There was also no fridge and the sink in the bathroom was so small that whenever we used it water went everywhere.... More

If you're looking for luxury, head elsewhere. But if you're cool with having a comfy place to crash, shower, and change, this is your spot. The location can't be beat as it's two blocks from the beach and everything else you'd want, and ultimately that's what you're paying for. This hotel is basically an upgrade from a hostel. I was... Aloha Catherine, Thank you for your review, I'm glad you had a good stay with us and got great customer service during your stay. As for the pests this is a constant battle in Hawaii and for one we've been winning with our bi-weekly pest control. I will definitely make note of this for our pest control coming up again... More

PROS: Clean. Especially when considering the age of the building. Front desk. Pleasant and engaging staff. Location. Two blocks from the beach, shopping, and dining options. CONS: Noise. The windows in many rooms are like glass blinds, a style that is common in Hawaii. They provide little noise insulation, so we were awoken by our boisterous neighbors and loud crashing... More

I moved to Stay after booking elsewhere and being so uncomfortable that I had to find something else. Luckily Stay was right next door and within my budget. The staff was wonderful in accommodating me and attempting to get me in slightly earlier than the 4pm check-in (as I had a call in meeting at 2pm). The rooms are small,... More

When we arrived we backed up the block trying to back up form the locked parking garage, to park on the street to check in. The counter was busy, but the gentleman was friendly. I was charged an additional $100 deposit, which I was not aware of, and parking (expected if it were better organized) The room was gross, the... More
