A girlfriend and I took our granddaughters to Oahu with Northwest World Vacations. We each had a room with a living room, kitchenette and bedroom for seven nights and air from Minneapolis for $950 each. Yes, the rooms are a little worn, but the air conditioning was just fine and it was nice to have the kitchenette. We did have... more

The staff is very nice and helpful, but the hotel at least the room we stayed in was run down dump. The trip was booked through American Airlines Vacations which really let me down which suprised me because American is such a great airline. Our room was awful we were promised a one bedroom suite with 3 beds (one bedroom... more

I don't recommend this hotel for people looking for a relaxing and quiet vacation. I intended to stay there for 2 weeks, but had to check out after a week. The hotel was okay for the price, but the noise was just unbearable. There was construction on the rooms going on during the day, and at night, groups of people... more

Helpful Ohana Malia Hotel Accomodating to disabled visitor. I recently returned from a weeks stay and wanted to make aware to disabled visitors the courtesy and flexibility this hotel offered. I'm totally disabled, in a power wheelchair and needed medical equipment in a hotel that would accommodate me. I had a hospital bed, patient lift, ventilator and other medical equipment... more

First off, the staff was very nice. Okay, now on to business. Hotel is under construction and I was not told this on the website or when booking reservation by phone. This means loud banging during the day and a balcony door that doesn't open. There is no internet access in the rooms. Do not be fooled when you click... more

I loved this hotel!!! It was clean and the staff was nice. It is a 5 minutes walk from the beach and the international market place. By booking our stay at this hotel we got free surf lessons and access to the pool and jacuzzi of the hotel next door. more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst on our way back home to Australia from the Big Island of Hawaii, because we couldn't get a flight out on the date we wanted so the travel agent gave us two days in Honolulu and booked us into this hotel. The hotel is very old and very... more

Even though the pool and other facilities was not functional during our stay, the friendliness and accommodating spirit of the staff more than made up for it. It just goes to show you that service is of the essence when making or breaking a hotel/vacation experience. Everyone was very nice and courteous, but Troy the bellhop was especially great. His... more

I've stayed at the Ohana Waikiki Malia several times in the past year. Though some of the rooms need to be updated (old carpet, tired bedding) I've found it to be clean and good value for the money. Reading some of the other reviews puzzled me. The lobby is clean and modern, not at all institutional, as another reviewer has... more

We stayed for one night, for a mini-Waikiki vacation. The rooms were clean, the staff pleasant, and although there is no pool here, the desk staff directed us to sister hotels 3 blocks away where we could use the pool. They give you a great coupon book upon checkin, and we used some of them. The AC was excellent--in fact,... more
