Hale Koa Hotel, what can I say? This incredibly beautiful place holds so many memories for me. I started vacationing there when I was 8 years old with my Grandfather, Grandmother and Dad. My Grandpa was a Lt. Col. in Air Force so that is how we got to stay there. All I can say is that the Hale Koa... More

This was the first time in Hawaii and I must say the stay at this hotel was excellent. This hotel is for military personnel active, retired and DOD civilians. To me this was a resort and not a hotel. Prices was excellent compared to the prices of the surrounding Hotels in the area. The hotel had so much to offer... More

Outstanding hotel. My wife an I stayed in a newly renovated room, which if you're use to nice hotels, it's nothing to brag about. However, the view and amenities of this hotel outdoes any of the neighboring hotels. Additionally, this property has the best and largest beach area than any on the strip, which you can clearly tell by simple... More

So we normally go to Maui because of the lack of military. When we are on vacation we try not to be reminded of work. But when we stayed here at the hale Koa it felt just like a civilian hotel. It was great!! If it wasn't in Honolulu it would be perfect. For all these people that say they... More

The location is excellent with a really nice stretch of wide beach. The rooms were dated but clean and comfortable. The drinks at the bars were not good. The bartenders at some of the bars were rude and service slow. The price of the room is comparable to other hotels in area. The grounds are beautiful

As long as you are active duty or retired military or DOD civilian. We avoid this hotel for quite a few years because of the "military" brand, but have changed our minds. We have stayed at the Hale Koa the past 5 trips to Honolulu and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are nicely appointed and the views from the... More

Stay here 3-4 times a year. Recently had to split my stay as the hotel was booked full. On the morning of check out I called the front desk to see if I needed to move. I was told the hotel was full and I was expected to check out as originally planned. I usually use Express Checkout but approached... More

We arrived for a late check-in around 9pm and walked all around the grounds for two hours that evening. The lobby area is a huge lanai open to the massive greenspace they have on the beach and the landscaping is incredible. Our room was a partial ocean view with an updated bathroom, comfy beds, and a nice balcony on the... More

This is our 7th stay at the Hale Koa. Can't beat the pricing or location of this hotel. Great property, grounds are very well maintained and one of the largest beaches on Oahu. There are two towers to choose from when staying here the newer tower and the original Lima tower which we prefer. Rooms are clean with everything you... More
