This was our third visit to the Hale Koa. They have all been great. The rooms are clean and comfortable with amazing views. We had a partial ocean view. We could see Gus (as requested since I love that beautiful tree) and had a great view of the ocean. We have not had a bad meal at any of the... More

We just got back from a weeks stay at Hale Koa & had a great time! This is our fourth trip to Hale Koa & each time the people are the best. We were able to check in early & the lady at the desk was very polite & efficient. She had a great personality & a warm smile after... More

We just returned from a weeks stay at the Hale Koa and had a wonderful time. The location is right next to the Hawaiian Hilton Village, and within walking distance to restuarants and shopping in Waikiki. The grounds are quite spacious and well kept. We had an ocean view room with a king bed and the rate was extremely reasonable.... More

We are staying here for 10 days to visit our son who is stationed at Schofield. For the money this place is great. Staff all very nice. Yes the rooms are a little dated but they are clean and comfortable. Pools and beach are nice and clean. Breakfast buffet at Koko good value. We usually did lunch at Happys if... More

We are retired military, and greatly appreciate being able to stay at the Hale Koa and escape from the mahem of Honolulu and Waikiki. We have stayed there twice and I'm sure we will return. The rooms are spacious and clean. All of the staff are helpful. We go to Hawaii for the sun and warm weather, and except for... More

We are at the Hale Koa for 6 nights finishing off our vacation, it's a lovely hotel and we have been here many times, we were pleasantly surprised to find free wi - fi throughout the whole hotel this time, that was a real bonus for us.

Since this is a military resort (I've been in all of them except for the one in Seoul), it's a great deal. My retired Air Force sister-in-law got 4 rooms (the limit) to sponsor her and my sister's 50th "Hawaii Five-O" birthday party for a week. Mom and Dad got one room and another sister-in-law/boyfriend got a room each to... More

I stayed here recently for 2 weeks, it overall was a nice stay but there is a huge need for improvement. The rooms are in major need of renovation. They are old, wall paper is moldy and falling off, grout is dirty, bedding is old etc. Room size is spacious and AC worked well. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, and... More

The best thing about this hotel is the grounds. They are beautiful and well-maintained. Otherwise everything else is mediocre. We ate at the Koko Cafe and experienced slow service and poorly prepared buffet (ribs were overcooked and green beans almost raw). It took 25 minutes to get a fish entree. The hotel also has a number of entertainment options that... More
