I stayed here with a few friends, one of which is a Marine. The room was beautiful. We had a great view and compared to the prices of other hotels in the area this was a steal! Comfortable beds, nice pools, and a fun Luau that you can experience. It is nice and close to everything downtown and within walking... More

My Mom (Korea / Army Nurse), my sister (Gulf 1 / Air Force Ret), and me (Kosovo / Army Ret), enjoyed two nights at the Hale Koa before taking a cruise. What a wonderful benefit for active duty and retired service members and their families. We arrived early but could not check in until 1500. No problem -- had lunch... More

Before you read reviews for this property, visit the web site and make sure you're eligible to stay at the hotel. This review covers three separate short visits in July and August 2015. Since the hotel is owned and operated by the military, I was worried that the décor and service would look like the everyday transient quarters you'll find... More

This place is hard to get into. We booked it about 5 months ago. Again this is for Current or Retired Members of the Military and DOD personnel only. This place is right on the beach!! The property is next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Here I was able to get a room with an ocean view on the beach... More

The Hale Koa is a military R&R hotel on the beach at Waikiki. This means that only eligible service members, their families, guests and certain civilian employees can stay at the hotel. For half the price of a lesser quality hotel in Waikiki, you get a choice of an ocean view, partial ocean view or garden view room with lanai.... More

The Hale Koa Hotel serves current and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. It's a great place to stay. My wife and I were married in Honolulu in 1978. We spent our first anniversary at the Hale Koa. We spent her 60th birthday there as well. It is located in Waikiki, has it's own beach, free... More

Very nice hotel!! Clean, things to eat, beach access, live music, BX and friendly staff. I have no complaints! My friend and I wanted an affordable Hawaii vacation and being able to stay at the Hale Koa helped! We had a rental car and did not have to travel far for anything that we wanted to do. Great location! We... More

My Wife and I enjoy everything about the Hale Koa Resort, the Staff, the quality of our room, the delicious Buffet at the newly renovated Koko’s restaurant. The Hale Koa Staff is very courteous, professional and hardworking. Their numbers appear to have been cut from previous years, and yet I am always in awe of their tremendous friendliness, particularly Kona,... More

We have stayed at the Hale Koa many times. This last stay was one week in July 2015. Great pricing for military, and DOD civilians. Friendly service staff, and the front desk was very professional. The front desk, after a year since we last stayed, had notes to adjust my bill due to a credit to me from our last... More
