First off, the resort itself is nice and you have a little of everything from bars, snack bars, spa, and a PX. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping our room in order, so a big "THANK YOU" is in order. The front desk, though nice, were not very knowledgable or helpful in getting around. Example- When inquiring about the Atlantis... More

For teh rates paid and location, can't beat it. So it has a public access beach. regardless, the hotel is established for military and DOD civilians. To take advantage of the services, you must show you DOD ID or room key. We had two mainenance problems while there. The maintenance people showed up rather quickly especially since it was in... Never having stayed in a military resort before, I didn't know what to expect. It was a surprise. Great service, great view, wonderful parks, lots of things for kids to do in the surrounding area and well kept. We had a family vacation with 3 grand kids ages 7 to 17. There was something for everyone. The fireworks were great... More

This was our second time staying Hale Koa. You have to be active/retired service member you have in order to stay here, or be a guest (staying on property) of the service member. I was just as impressed this time as the last. The grounds are well kept up. It is very busy, but not crowded like the Hilton Hawaiian... More

Was here at the benefit of my brother Richard – a 26 year Navy Vet. He has been asking us for years to come with him and his wife to Honolulu with them. From the financial stand point you cannot beat the price to location. The people next door at the Hilton Hawaiian Village are paying $ 500 a night... More

We love staying here for staycation and PCS. The location is great. Free Friday night fireworks from the Hilton next door. Shopette on site. Kiddie and adult pool. Happys and Koko's to eat. And great luau. Down side. Parking is across the street but a great price. Walls are thin especially with adjoining doors. Overall one of the best Army... More

The grounds are really beautiful, and large enough that even though there are a lot of rooms, you never feel like it is crowded. Lots of reception staff made check-in fast, speedy elevators, lots of amenities on-site, including a Class Six/Shoppette. Was surprised by the lack of HBO, but internet was good. It looks like every room has a view... More

Enjoyed our stay. the staff was helpful . The grounds were beautiful. The rooms were good size and the balcony was nice. The room had hairdryer and refrigerator but no microwave. That was okay because we used the restaurants most of the time. I would recommend it to all.

This has got to be THE most beautiful and well-located property on Waikiki beach. You will NOT find a better location nor a better price! It warms my heart to know that our military -- heroes all, in my book -- are blessed with the privilege of access to this property. That's right: military only, or their guests. As a... More
