Four of us stayed at the Ambassador Hotel during the Lions International Convention in Waikiki from Jun 22nd - Jul 1st, 2015. The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly on our arrival. The Ambassador saved us when the 4 person Condo we booked at the Ilikaii lost our reservation and we had two weeks to find somewhere else... More

For a kind of blah looking hotel, the staff was great and it was spot on with what we needed. Their filtered water station and complimentary water bottles were wonderful and saved us a bundle. Our room had a broken microwave and the maintenance man was extremely quick and efficient and replaced it with a new one. My only regret... More

First their standard suite/room had chipped walls & doors, stained walls, a stale smell & cracked shower tile. After complaining & showing them pictures, they gave us an "upgraded" room. It was also stained & chipped walls with paint chipping, ripped curtains, mildew on the shower tiles, rust and a mildew smell in the refrigerator & believe it or not... More

Aloha Nikki, I understand your concerns and when you brought them to our attention, our team reacted immediately. Unfortunately, our actions were still not to your satisfaction; and we apologize further for not meeting your needs. We've worked with you and your booking agent to settle this matter and we do appreciate your cooperation. Sincerely, Adrian More

My sister and I had to fly back to Honolulu for my mother's passing, we stayed at the Ambassador hotel, the staff were wonderful and treated us well, I loved the purified water fountain and filled my water bottle everyday. The hotel had a full kitchen so we were able to cook our own meals and our stay was fantastic.... More

Although not flashy at all, we loved staying here. Felt very comfortable and staff were excellent. Location was good, being close to everything. It could do we total refurbishment - a facelift if you like - then it would be fab!

I read all the reviews before booking a room here and was prepared for some issues but none of them really materialized. This is not a brand new property by any means built in the 1960's I would guess, there was some wear and tear evident in our room, a fresh coat of paint would have helped and perhaps some... More

We stayed one night and whilst it was clean ...it is a pretty old hotel. Good sized rooms but sparsely furnished. The girl on help desk is awesome... she was really helpful. As hotels go , this is convenient and cheap and cheerful.

Our initial plans didn't include air conditioning, cleanliness, bug repellant, enclosed indoor shower, or a toilet with the ability to flush used toilet papers down it. No soap anywhere and one towel each for the whole week. Apparently my son and I are just not hippie enough to vacation that way. That wasn't even the half of it actually. So... More

First time to Hawaii with my family. We arrive there and our rooms are on different floors. So they switched them to 3 small twin size beds in each room terrible. Tv audio kept going in and out. Showers are sooo small i have never seen this before. Beware everything cost: 25 for parking 25 for amenities. Will never return... More

Aloha Diamond, The Amenity Fee is actually $20.94 per night (tax incl.) This fee covers WIFI, pool/beach towels, in-room safe, 24hr business center, bicycle use and etc. I'm sorry to hear about your TV issue; I wish we were notified sooner so we could fix it during your stay. Until next time, A More

Traveled for a one week vacation and stayed at the Ambassador. It is the sister hotel to the Pacific Beach Hotel in Waikiki Beach. The Ambassador Hotel building is slightly on the older side, but very reasonably priced and very conveniently located. It is within walking distance of Waikiki Beach (within 15-20 minutes). It is also just one to two... More
