I saw many criticisms before arrival but I generally liked the accommodation. So I even thought that I'd like to make a good comments on several web sites like here, but I changed my mind because of KERRI, just after I have checked out with her. KERRI, asian women at the front desk was unaccommodating, rude and just plain unfriendly.... More

Aloha, I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. I will personally look into your claim and we will handle internally. Our Fire Exit, is a reserved Emergency Exit; if used otherwise we must stop the alarm from sounding throughout the building. There is signage posted on the exit as well. As for our Amenity Fee, it is a mandatory... More

Rooms are a good size, have balconies and are clean. They're fairly average rooms over all but have cooking facilities if you want to save some money and eat in. The hotel charges a services fee which includes the wifi, pool, etc but is in addition to the room charge - first time I've come across this and leaves you... More

Aloha Gordon, First of all, thank you for staying with us during your time in Waikiki. Our Amenity Fee is actually a very common fee throughout many Hotels. Besides WIFI, the fee also includes use of the bicycles we have, game room, business center, fitness center and etc. I hope you are able to return soon to enjoy everything again.... More

My daughter was relocating to Waikiki so I went down for 4 nights to help her find an apartment and get to know the area and also hope to enjoy Hawaii a bit in a very short time. I knew going in that the hotel was older and I was not staying at a new Marriott or such...but saw mixed... More

Shazeerazly, Thank you for your kind words. Yes, our Amenity is a mandatory fee; but it does have a great value. Considering all the perks of the pool, beach towels, bicycles, wifi connection and such - its a deal. We'll see you on your return trip. Best wishes! More

Average accommodation. Needs an overhaul as it is pretty old and tired. Needed a bucket on the balcony to catch the heavy flow of water from the air conditioning. Only 2 lifts and sometime the wait was lengthy. Cleanliness was average. Location ok.

The hotel is abit dated like most Waikiki hotels but includes a few extras to give you value. There's a nice pool area, gym with free weights and the usual cardio suspects, great wifi that you don't need to continually log in and I had a fully equipped kitchen. The location isn't bad so great for those wanting to save... More

I stood in the Ambassador hotel and the room was in poor condition, bathroom had broken walls, shower stall needed better attention in cleanliness and what was disturbing when the lights were put on roaches all over the bathroom running around, very disturbing, bad mattress to sleep.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Ambassador in Waikiki for a 9-day stay. This is a good basic hotel. Yes, it is dated; yes, the decor and furnishings are older, but we found this hotel to be clean, there was not one bug in sight - which is amazing given you are staying in Hawaii! I've stayed at...
