We stayed here the first week of June. The reception staff gave us a warm welcome. Our room was exactly as in the picture. Although not top end luxury it ticked all the boxes. Very spacious. It had a balcony with no furniture but with a table and 2 chairs in the room we just put these on the balcony... More

While planning our 9 days vacation in Oahu, we searched for a decent, simple and affordable hotel which is located within the Waikki area. Since we booked several tours and we will be out most of the time, Ambassador a Hotel is very ideal. It is walking distance to Waikiki beach, Kalakaua Avenue, and Ala Moana Center. Several convenience stores... More

This is just my experience and point of view. For the average traveler who experienced hotels ranging from Motel 6 to the Windsor, this hotel is boarder line motel status. But if you are on spring break and all hell is breaking lose, you would not see anything wrong with this place. If you are with your family and have... More

We made a reservation last minute by calling the telephone number provided on the hotels website, when we arrived the staff claimed we hadn't got one and we arguing with us about the difference in the telephone numbers / call centres on their website - not the best concierge service I've received and not what you need after a 11... We recently stayed at the Amabassador with our 3 children. We stayed in the city view suite with 4 beds. There was a bedroom with a full size bed and one twin. The livingroom couches turned into 2 twin beds, as well. My husband and I opted to put the 3 children in the bedroom (there is no tv in... More

Stayed here the second half of my second trip to Oahu. This hotel is maybe a 1-star. The staff are sort of friendly. One night I went for a run and asked the front desk to hold me key, they said no as I had no ID to pick it back up. I asked him if he was working all... More

Aloha lisa b, Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your recent experience at Ambassador Hotel Waikiki. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience you encountered while signing out beach towels and the unusual action of the elevators. Regarding your encounter with my front office staff, we definitely should have been more accommodating. This has been brought to the... More

We have just spent two nights at this hotel. My sister, brother in law, husband and myself shared a one bedroom unit. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were good as were the pillows. It is an old hotel but very handy to everything and I would stay here again if ever back in Waikiki.

I stayed for a week here, in a room with a kitchen - which we wanted, but then didn't use! I agree with other reviewers about the décor being a little tired, and could be updated - maybe with more tropical colours. We were very close to the beach, and walked there (about 10 - 15 minutes to closest at... More

If you want something basic and no frills then this is for you. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Rooms are not that well insulated compared to both the Hilton's we stayed in, you could hear outside noise easily, ie rubbish pickup, trucks etc. Though I would definitely recommend staying somewhere a bit more expensive if you can afford it, much... This hotel is basic but functional. We had a kitchenette with full size fridge/freezer, stove and all basic utensils and dishes .It helped save money, we made most of the meals ourselves. It also has a washer and dryer at a reasonable cost. But most of all is its position on the Waikiki beach. The hotel has no other buildings... More
