My mother and I drove in without booking any hotels and we stumbled upon the Burbank rose right in the heart of downtown Newport. We parked our car in the lot that the hotel uses and never even touched it except to head to Gooseberry Beach near the Mansions. The price was just right and did not break the bank... More

This is an older Bed and Breakfast in a fantastic location. I stay here every time I go to Newport. Brian, the owner has a wealth of information about things to do in Newport and surrounding areas. We stay in a one bedroom with a full kitchen and living room ... very roomy and comfy. Different size rooms available Located... More

I contacted Brian in December last year and he said he hadn't set his rates for 2014. Said to email him with the dates I wanted rooms, which I did. No response. Emailed again in January and asked for a response if rooms were available/reserved for me, no response. So, have cancelled my rooms and booked elsewhere. The lack of... More

Our children gave us a 3 day stay for our 40th wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. We love to ride our bicycles and Newport is very bicycle friendly. The location as great we walked or biked everywhere did not drive our car our whole stay. The location is perfect and the owner gave us wonderful recommendations for... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Burbank Rose! Brian, the owner, was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations for things to do and restaurants to check out. Our room was on the third floor and we loved having the extra space of a living room and kitchen. The location is great because it is right near all the restaurants... More

So we have traveled many times to Newport...staying at many B & B 's...so many wonderful memories...but not here ...the place is a dump .. Maybe college kids would think it's okay...not us..no charm...no class...ugly furnishings...broken wooden stair on the staircase ...boring breakfast ....hockey puck scones and fruit....everyday the same..don't do it unless you are looking for cheap !

I loved my recent stay at the Burbank Rose! It was comfortable, accommodating, and easily accessible to everything. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms; my allergies were not bothered at all. The beds and bathrooms were impeccable. The quaint sitting room welcomed me with a continental breakfast; of scones and fruit. I would go back again.

The owner was VERY friendly and helpful. The place is fairly clean, we thought it was a good value, considering the price and location. We were afraid that there would be too much noise, because of the proximity to the street and the restaurants, but it was really quiet Just a little more attention to details and housekeeping would bring... the location couldn't be better. it is an easy walk to Thames Street, shops, restaurants and the marina. as I am a little older I found staying on the third floor difficult with lots of short steep steps. getting my 50 lbs of luggage was tough-one step at a time. also there are lots of places with peeling paint. given... This centrally located little Inn was comfortable. Brian is a very friendly innkeeper although a bit unorganized. Overall the Inn needs some updating. The furniture looked as though it came from yard sales & not Shabby Chic but heavily worn....The breakfast was only fruit & a few pastries. There was not enough for the amount of guests so everyone was... More
