The building was breath taking on the inside and outside. The service was extremelly great with the friendliest host, that just made you feel like you were at your own house. The room that we had was clean, and nicely done with the decorations. We were able to see the other rooms and all where great. The people that run... More

The owners were very nice and attentive. Breakfast was good and Brian made sure that he prepared food according to the guests' liking. The place was very clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The place was freezing & the fireplace in the common area was never used. The fireplace in the dining room was only on during breakfast. Most places... More

It always surprises me about the amount of detail that is left out of these reviews. LOL Well, to start from the beginning...when they called to book a room, they were really haggling me on the room rates. They offered to pay in cash in exchange for a discount. We accepted. We ended up giving them 40% off the room... More

After spending many hours trying to find a nice place in Newport to surprise my husband for our anniversary, I came across the Architects Inn. My husband and I had never stayed at a B&B before, and we just loved it. We stayed in the Redwood Room, and it lacked nothing. It is so beautifully decorated and Brian and Nick... More

Our stay at the Architect's Inn was lovely. The B&B is a beautiful historic mansion, well-appointed with tasteful furnishings and period decor, and the autumnal decorations for the season made it feel even cozier. Innkeepers Nick and Brian went out of their way to accommodate our needs (my husband doesn't like egg dishes, so none appeared at breakfast!) and to... More

We decided to make a return trip to Newport on our way to Cape Cod for vacation. We were looking for a quiet place within walking distance of some of the places we had visited in the past (shops, restaurants, sites). This was our first stay at the Architects Inn and we were greatly impressed. The hospitality (Nick and Brian),... More

We just came home from a two night stay at Architect's Inn. This inn is located only a short walk from town, yet far enough away so that you can enjoy true tranquility. Our room was very large and the bathroom (with a claw-foot tub) was huge. Both were extremely clean, well appointed and meticulously decorated (as was the rest... More

We recently had a very enjoyable stay at the Architects Inn. The house itself has a lovely, gracious atmosphere due to the period detail and beautiful furnishings. Our room was comfortable, the nights were peaceful and we awoke each day to the sound of bird song. This place is a real gem. Jim, Nick & Brian create a very welcoming... More

Literally, on the rocks [got engaged in late July on the Newport Cliff Walk!]. We were thrilled to have Brian, Jim and the inn to share our most special day with. Brian was immensely helpful; when we lost our reservation at a nearby inn, Nick and he welcomed us and we were pleasantly surprised with all the appointments. It would... More

My partner and I spent 3 days in Newport staying at this historic inn for 2 nites. The owners were helpful and friendly and provided good recommendation for places to see and restaurants.to dine in. They were gracious and accomodating. Our room was terrific with a huge bathroom! I would stay there again!

I had never stayed at a B&B before, typically preferring the anonymity of a large hotel because I am a city girl. However, my daughter was looking for gluten-free eating. We stayed three nights at the George Champlin Mason House in August 2008 and it exceeded our expectations! Our suite (the Perry Suite) was large and lovely with a magnificent... More
