I had the pleasure of staying at the Inn for the weekend while on a work trip and everything about it was amazing! From the beautiful decor, to the delicious food to the even more amazing owners that made us feel right at home. I didn't want to leave! We went down for a work trip and the owners accommodated... This is my second trip to the Architect's Inn. This time I really put these guys through the ringer. I planned a corporate trip for 40, (Yes 40) people. But the Inn isn't that big, you say? You are absolutely right. Nick, the owner, orchestrated 2 other Inns for us. One being their sister property, Inn Bliss. I also requested... More

Words can't do this charming B&B justice! The house was was unbelievable and really echoed the charm and history of Newport. Brian and Nick made me feel welcome from the moment we pulled up and gave us lots of great recommendations of things to visit and check out in the area. Brian made us breakfast every morning before we we... More

Home interior was historic and comfortable. Booked with friends and family with the reasonable expectation of 10 like-kind bedrooms. Regretably we found only 8, which required one of our party to actually sleep on the sofa in the library. When we presented the owners with what we presumed was an innocent misrepresentation we were dismissed and argued with. I've had... More

Staying at The Architect's Inn was my first time at a B and B and I was a bit apprehensive but not for long. The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Nick and the elusive Brian were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. I enjoyed the surprise of not knowing the menu but I know that is not for... More

I start this review with some trepidation as I know full well that the owner will publicly rip me much like everyone else that has commented negatively about this property. I will start by saying this is a lovely, historic home. It is beautifully furnished and the location is terrific. My issue is the fact that this is in no... More

The inn is beautiful and well maintained. Lots of attention is paid to detail. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was large with a spa-like shower. There are lots of post its around with notes reminding you to remove shoes, close door tightly, etc. The owner is friendly. Couple of cons: It is a bit of a walk to... More

We stayed 7/29/15, for a spontaneous somewhat quiet midweek day at the Architect's Inn, as weekends in Newport often need to be booked well in advance. NIck and Brian are such great hosts!! They serving yummy homemade breakfast and both take plenty of time to talk about your stay, giving you useful tips and recommendations of where to go and... More

I would think, think and think a whole lot more before choosing this accommodation called Architect's Inn as our room in the basement...rather dungeon was depressing and deranged. There were old pictures all over the room of old men from maybe the 20's perhaps. I would describe Architect's Inn as Sinister like place and our room as A Sinister atmosphere.... More

Architect's Inn has a beautifully maintained interior with gorgeous wood floors and painstaking decoration, but the host's heart seems to be for the house and not for the guests. A "no shoes" policy makes sense to maintain the wood floors and area rugs from summer grit and tar, but we didn't see it mentioned anywhere in the literature. We stayed... More
