My daughter (16) and i spent the weekend here and had an outstanding time as part of a mystery murder package. The story line was complex and customized to each of the couple's personal tastes, enabling discovery of some out of the way Newport finds. The house was truly grand (we adored the redwood room, complete wIth working fireplace and... More

My husband and I just spent a wonderful long weekend at the Architect's Inn in Newport. Our room was delightful and our host Brian couldn't do enough to make us feel welcomed and comfortable.. Since the Inn wasn't completely full Brian was able to join us for breakfast and tell us about the house, the town and the must do's... More

My cousin and I typically take a cruise each year and this year, the cruise lines cancelled our trip the day before we were to depart! Since we already had tix to Boston, we decided to go anyway and visit Newport, RI, somewhere neither of us had ever been. It was serendipitous! For four days, we were pampered at the... More

This is a B&B of many contradictions. The house is marvellous, especially if you like that cluttered late 19th century style, and clean as a whistle. The guys keep it beautifully and are obviously very proud of it. Our room was extremely comfortable, the bed and bedding was of excellent quality and the situation of the house is central and... We stayed here with my friends for weekend and it was the most amazing weekend in this summer! House is so beautiful, our rooms were perfectly clean and cool. I don't want to be boring and repeat it after all reviews here but their breakfast was unbelievable great! They had very nice back yard with hammocks which is was my favorite... More

This is a gorgeous grand old home walking distance to downtown Newport restaraunts. Don't let the fastidious fact that you are asked to remove your shoes upon entering deter you, Nick is personable and makes you feel at right at home. He has a sweet sense of humor and is a wonderful host. Co-owner Brian - the quieter of the... More

My sister and I ended up here after an exhausting run-around by a few hotels in the newport area. Fortunately, we stumbled upon this inn which still had a room available. Even though it was later in the evening, Nick, one of the owners dropped what he was doing to graciously show us the house and the suite which was... More

I stayed at the Architect's Inn for a whole week with my husband and two children. Nick welcomed us like we were family. They had all sorts of little attention for us. For instance, they kindly allowed me to make a load of laundry in their machine. If you are looking for a warmhearted, welcoming and informal place to stay,... More

This family was so amazing. I loved their energy and love of life. Our policy to promote good karma and be good to good people. We had dinner on the porch and shared drinks together a couple nights. We talked about life, love and business. Their children were such a breath of fresh air and it was nice to see... More

Great quiet location with plenty of parking, walk to town in less than 10 minutes but quiet because they are not right in town or on a busy street. Decor is old and tired. Seriously needs to be cleaned of all the lace curtains and old lady nick knacks everywhere. My grandmother's would be in heaven, we were in hell.... More

Yes we have an AWESOME location. Thank you. I am happy to hear your grandmother has a sense of taste but its a shame she didn't pass it on to you. I am sure you wrote this review with all of your credentialed experience in hotel design. If you think you can decorate an historically protected Victorian Mansion better than... More

Be aware they have 3 different locations and rooms are extremely different. Before giving your credit card make sure what room you are paying for. We had the standard room and it was the last part of the atic, with no height, most of the time you need to be bow down, if you are a guy there is no... More

That so unfair to say we are unprofessional for not responding to an email that comes in at 5:45 am. They were going to arrive way before a normal check in time and a room was not even ready for us to assign a room to them. Our mornings are more focused on serving breakfast to our in-house customers and... More
