We took a spontaneous trip to Newport, RI and were thrilled to discover the Francis Malbone House. First, the cleanliness was really the "seal the deal" fine detail that caused us to book a room immediately upon arrival. The cleanliness is supported by a clear attention to maintenance and upkeep, both inside and outside the house. We particularly liked the cooked-to-order breakfast served in a 90 minute window-- we never felt rushed to fit into... More

A friend suggested we would enjoy the Francis Malbone House when we made a trip to Newport - what a perfect recommendation! From the friendly staff, the lovely courtyard, the beautifully appointed room, the comfortable sitting areas, the great location ... to the food - oh my goodness - the food! Wonderful breakfasts include tasty breads, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, as well as breakfast entrees each so wonderful it was difficult to decide what... More

This was our second stay at the Malbone House. So glad we returned. The owner/staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Breakfast is superb. Afternoon tea has the best treats we have ever had at a B and B. Moreover, the location is perfect. There is no other place I would stay other than the Francis Malbone House.

For a quick, classy get-away, the Malbone House is the answer. Well appointed, impeccably neat and clean. The staff were warm, accommodating , and very knowledgeable. The "Afternoon Tea" is not to be missed. The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything. We will return.

We just finished our 6th stay at the Francis Malbone house and are already looking forward to a return. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone visiting the Newport area. We went with another couple and stayed in the Stillhouse room. The Inn and the grounds are meticulously cared for. The service was excellent - we love Will! The breakfast and the afternoon tea was to die for. Everything we tasted was pure decadance. The location was great - plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend this place for a couples retreat.

My husband and I just returned from our third stay at the Francis Malbone house. All three times we have stayed at the Benjamin Mason house (a property adjacent to the inn). We have stayed in both suites, but the Ben Mason is our favorite as we spent our wedding night there as well as this most recent stay. The Inn is so clean and comfortable paired with its formal colonial charm. It is by... More

Thanks, Jen. So glad you got to experience the Mason House again with Lisa and your spouses. You all seemed like you were having a blast in your own little Newport house. If those walls could talk!! Great to see you again and thank you for introducing the inn to your friends. Have a great summer! Will More
