Last September, my girlfriends and I stayed at the Francis Malbone House. All of us loved it! I came back again with my husband in August. I was not disappointed! The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and gracious. The rooms and the decor are tasteful and inviting. Breakfast in the courtyard and afternoon tea were both... More

Not too big, not too small, just right. Food was beyond compare--both breakfast and afternoon tea. Room was clean and comfortable. Host and staff were friendly and efficient. Location was great, right in the middle of everything, but still quiet and secluded. I like a dark room for sleeping and the window treatment allowed great blockage of outside light--unlike most... First trip to Newport so a little nervous about where to stay. Couldn't have picked a better place. Will and his staff made our visit. Located in the heart of everything that is going on in Newport. Across the street from the marina, we walked everywhere, shops, restaurants, bars, waterfront, etc. yet quiet and no issues at night, noise wise.... More

The staff, especially Janet, was amazingly outgoing, helpful, and more than accommodating from the moment we stepped into the house. The house is inviting, the decor relaxing, and our room cozy. Breakfast is an event, and a very tasty one at that, with a wide selection of sweet and savory items in the buffet as well as a choice of... More

Our 4th stay here and never disappointed. Park your car and don't move it until you leave. Breakfast is amazing; tea and goodies are great in afternoon. The Inn is always fresh and clean. Will, Anne Maria and Janet are great innkeepers. The garden courtyard is beautiful...Day or Evening...Thanks again for another great stay!

Will & his staff were awesome! Breakfast and tea daily, was delightful; carefully, homemade and delicious. The garden area is a bonus for outside gathering & dining. The rooms were beautiful and the location could not have been more perfect! We would definitely return...

This was a fantastic find on Hotel Tonight and turned out to be one of my favorite stays ever. The original house, addition and the separate Benjamin Mason House are all beautifully maintained by a superb staff. We were welcomed by Janet and Suzanne upon our check-in and given a tour and plenty of advice and suggestions. The small but... More

My wife and I were going to Newport for a family wedding at the beginning of August and decided to make a long weekend out of it. After doing a lot of research online prior to selecting where we would stay in Newport, we decided on the Francis Malbone House Inn. Our research paid off, this Inn did not disappoint!... More

We stayed in the Harborside (blue) room, bright and spacious, on the 2nd floor/SE corner. We slept comfortably w/ down pillows and pillow-top king size bed. No problems w/ water pressure/temp. Breakfasts in the garden courtyard was so beautiful and tranquil with a gorgeous pink crepe myrtle and tiny birds playing in the fountain. The menu will delight any foodie.... More
