I have to stay an absolutely pleasure to stay here. This cosy and intimate hotel is ideal place to stay for quality time with the significant other. The management have succeed in keeping atmosphere relaxed and informal while keeping standards top class. The rooms are excellent, keeping an olde world charm while having every convenience. The breakfasts are particularly delicious,... more

My family and I have enjoyed the luxury of the Francis Malbone House for 20 years. I now share the same luxury with my husband. The location is ideal to shopping, fine food and located right in the downtown of Thames Street. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome by the superior staff and inn... more

Our six-day stay at the Francis Malbone exceeded all expectations. We stayed in a courtyard room on the weekend and moved to an original mansion room for the rest of the week -- both rooms were beautifully furnished and comfortable. The entire inn is an experience not to be missed. You will be treated like royalty by the staff --... more

My wife and I stayed at the Francis Malbone house last week for one night. We stayed in the Harborside Room2, which is part of the original house. The room was clean, roomy and classically decorated. It had a small LCD tv which worked well. It also had a "partial" view of the harbor which was nice during the sunset.... more

Our stay at Francis Malbone was stunning, just the perfect place to be around Xmas/New year. The fire place in the room is so romantic. The whole place is so cosy and nice that you want to stay there forever. Don't miss the afternoon tea break ! We will definitely come back ! more

I have been staying at the Malbone House with my family most summers since it was first opened. I still love the cozy, authentic feel of it. I love its location on Thames Street because you are able to walk to a variety of stores and restaurants all while enjoying Newport's wonderful scenery. The breakfast each morning is fantastic. It... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Malbone House because of the warm friendly atmosphere and the attentive service . When we arrived at lovely appointed room, a platter of cheese and crackers was waiting for us, an unexpected treat. The room and bath were elegant and meticulously clean. Luxurious bathrobes and toiletries completed the elegant feel of our room. Each... more

My husband and I have been coming to Newport for the past 5 years. Recently, we had the opportunity to stay at the Francis Malbone House for July 27th and 28th. It was exactly what we had wanted and expected from reading the other reviews. In the past, we have been disappointed with some of the hotels being not as... more
