We were beyond impressed by Armistead B&B. The place is beautiful, clean and the breakfasts are amazing! The hosts are warm, kind and make you feel right at home. My husband and I enjoyed a romantic pre dinner cocktail on the STUNNING porch and listened to the peace and quiet of the stunning neighbourhood. The location is amazing as you... More

The Armistead Bed and Breakfast is a lovely Bed and Breakfast within walking distance of Downtown Newport and attractions. Romona and Charles are warm, hospitable and knowledgeable hosts The gourmet breakfast is at 9:00 am and doesn't disappoint! The Bed and Breakfast only has two guest rooms, which make it a nice and intimate experience. Perfect for an anniversary get-... More

Two weeks ago we returned to Newport and stayed at the Armistead. Every room is decorated differently and the antiques are a true conversation piece. . Romona and Charles were so warm and made us feel so comfortable and special. Romona is great at advising on where to visit and dine. She is a great cook, often beginning each breakfast... More

We love Newport and return frequently and always stay at a different place. This time we selected the Armistead Cottage and we loved every minute! The cottage is quaint, nicely decorated, with a lovely large front porch, gardens and it is a short distance from the Cliff Walk! From the moment we arrived we felt like relatives returning home...Ramona was... More

If you are looking for a place to stay in Newport, RI and you've stumbled on Armistead Cottage, my advice is to stop looking and book now. This summer, we've returned to visit Romona & Charles (owners) for a third time and already planning our fourth for next year. I could tell you all the typical things you'd expect to... More

We stop in Newport for a night every summer on the way to the Cape. We have tried many B&Bs and keep the cost under $200. This is the best so far. We like to location away from Thames Street, yet close to Bellevue Avenue and First Beach. Romana is an excellent host.

This year was our first time in Newport for a short vacation. Our stay at Armistead Cottage B & B made it special. It is a beautiful B & B which Romana and Charles made it so cozy and warm. Romana did spoil us with gourmet breakfasts, and the comfort of the room was a delight! We did feel like... More

It was my first experience at a B&B and Ramona and Charles made it amazing. They were personable, fun, and helpful. The house was immaculate and the breakfast was outstanding😊. I felt as if I knew them for awhile and enjoyed getting to know other people who have had great experiences year after year staying there. It was quiet and... More

we hae stayed at the Armistead Cttage B&B for the past eight years, staying with Romana & Charles while attending a wedding at the Tennis Hall of fame which is right up the road. This B&B is close to the center of town and the mansions so it works out great for anyone going to Newport as a tourist. Romana... More
