If you are looking for a place to stay in Newport, RI and you've stumbled on Armistead Cottage, my advice is to stop looking and book now. This summer, we've returned to visit Romona & Charles (owners) for a third time and already planning our fourth for next year. I could tell you all the typical things you'd expect to... More

This year was our first time in Newport for a short vacation. Our stay at Armistead Cottage B & B made it special. It is a beautiful B & B which Romana and Charles made it so cozy and warm. Romana did spoil us with gourmet breakfasts, and the comfort of the room was a delight! We did feel like... More

It was my first experience at a B&B and Ramona and Charles made it amazing. They were personable, fun, and helpful. The house was immaculate and the breakfast was outstanding😊. I felt as if I knew them for awhile and enjoyed getting to know other people who have had great experiences year after year staying there. It was quiet and... More

we hae stayed at the Armistead Cttage B&B for the past eight years, staying with Romana & Charles while attending a wedding at the Tennis Hall of fame which is right up the road. This B&B is close to the center of town and the mansions so it works out great for anyone going to Newport as a tourist. Romana... More

We recently took our first trip to Newport and did some last minute planning. Romana the innkeeper was so wonderful to work with - she was great at responding quickly and really made us excited to stay there before we even arrived! The house itself is so beautiful - and we truly felt at home as soon as we met... More

One of the best things about returning to Newport was our stay at Armistead Cottage. This was our 3rd trip this year. We felt like we were returning to see dear friends. The house has such a warm feeling! It was immaculate! We love the décor. The breakfasts were delicious! Romana and Charles are such kind, caring, wonderful people. They... More

Looking at previous reviews... I feel like a broken record. I don't know where to start. My husband and I just returned home from a three night stay at Armistead Cottage. We have NEVER felt so welcomed or LOVED at ANYWHERE we have EVER stayed for a vacation! Romana and Charles are the epitome of life itself. The most compassionate... More

My husband and I had a very nice stay this past weekend at the Armistead Cottage. Romana was such a caring and gracious host. Her breakfasts were delicious and the cookies/mints in front of our door in the evening was such a sweet touch. We also appreciated the fridge with water and soda. The quiet location while being able to walk... More

My daughter and I just returned from Newport and an overnight stay at Armistead Cottage. The draw of this B&B is the lovely owner Romona. She was delightful and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed chatting with her at breakfast. She put coffee out for us early which was appreciated. Very nice side street location in a quiet area. You... More
