Had a really nice weekend Romana made us feel like family, very clean and comfy, great food. I would definitely go back. Not much left to say other than the over all experience was excellent, Thanks for a great weekend Romana and Charles.

My mother and I stayed with Romana and Charles in Newport this weekend and it was everything we hoped it would be. After a day touring mansions, it was lovely to come back to the quirkily and charmingly decorated Armistead Cottage. We stayed in the Victorian Room, which had a four-poster bed and fireplace and tiny statuette of Canova's Paolina... More

Everything was great from the minute we arrived. Romana and Charles were so kind and welcoming. Even though it snowed almost a foot, Romana and Charles made sure we had fun. Not only did Charles shovel out our car, Romana also invited us for dinner when the weather was unfavorable for us to go out. It was a great dinner... More

Romana and Charles run a fantastic, quirky operation in Newport. I spent the night there in February with my boyfriend. Romana was wonderfully witty and warm from the first phone call to the last hug. We got a tour of the place, advice about local restaurants and activities, stories about her life, and an amazing breakfast. We were made to... More

After having an awesome time in Newport in July, my husband and I decided to return In December. We did not think about staying anywhere except the Armistead Cottage. Romana was as welcoming as she was the first time. Even though we had just met her and Charles last summer, it felt like we were returning to see old friends.... More

Romana and Charles are delightful hosts with the world's most awesome cats. Although this was our first visit to their lovely B&B, we felt like we were were being welcomed home by old friends. The Armistead Cottage is decorated in an engagingly eclectic style that we thoroughly enjoyed. Romana is an excellent cook and her healthy and tasty breakfasts were... More

Traveling alone to Newport to run in a half marathon I found the most warm and welcoming place to stay at the Armistead Cottage. My room had a fireplace and a private bath. Everything was very clean and the eclectic decor was fun. Ramona and Charles provided information about places to visit while in Newport and after a day of... More

My husband and I were so happy to see that Romana and Charles were still operating their B&B. We had stayed there 6 years earlier and found the home beautifully furnished, the food gourmet, our hosts welcoming. We again had the same wonderful experience and felt like we were visiting with friends.

You will feel at home as soon as you enter the house. Romana and Charles are a lovely couple who go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The room and whole house has so many interesting things to see from the carrot museum to the huge porch. All the food is homemade and delicious.

Returning to Newport and Southern New England is always a treat. Returning to the Armistead B&B starts it all . Romana and Charles make you feel at home as soon as you walk in and if you return as we did, it feels like reuniting with true friends. Their home is a charm and Romana's love of the carrot is...
