Charming and well functioning room. Fabulous and personalized breakfast in a Victorian setting. The hosts were friendly and professional. The quiet location is excellent for sights, walking, restaurants and the harbour. We will be back! We will recommend this to our friends.

This was a very nice B&B. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order by the chef, who happens to be the Inn keeper. Afternoon treats were also available, and tasted fantastic, I recommend picking up their cookbook. Very well located to see New Port and it's mansions.

We enjoyed our stay in Newport and this B & B was part of our good experience. Our hosts were friendly, gave good suggestions for us to best enjoy our touring. Restaurant recommendations were very helpful too.

We absolutely loved our experience staying here for a long weekend. The rooms are more spacious than most B&B and everything was very clean and put together. The owner is awesome and very personable - plus, he is a fantastic chef! We looked forward to our made-to-order breakfast each morning. He offered ~5 items that changed daily on the breakfast... We stayed for three nights in March 2014. Our room was very comfortable, our hosts were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was excellent. Location was great - right next to Bellevue Ave and a short walk to harbour. Would happily stay there again.

We loved this charming bed and breakfast, very well decorated, very tidy and clean. The owner was very kind and served us a great breakfast. The only thing we didnt enjoy much was the sleep because the mattress was not so confortable, it was too "fluffy", so in the middle of the night I changed to the extra bed that... More

We booked a Saturday night stay. Marshall Slocum Guest House was nearly the only place that would let us stay only 1 weekend night. The owner was wonderful and served and delicious breakfast. A short walk to town. We had a fireplace in our room.

Pros: 1. Fresh breakfast that's well made. 2. Clean rooms. 3. Soft thick mattresses. 4. Tiny but modern bathroom. 5. Friendly inn keeper. Cons: 1. Far from downtown. 2. You just get 1 hot item for breakfast. 3. You pay $190/night in the off-season for a tiny, dingy room (I suppose we got their worst room). 4. No view. 1... More

Please refer to our other reviews for an accurate description of our property. In response to this review many of the cons mentioned are simply not accurate. We are located in the Top of the Hill district of Newport, just 8 doors down from the Hotel Viking which is the first hotel to settle in Newport. A 10 minute walk... More

We only stayed at this beautiful Inn for one night on our trip around New England but we had a great stay in the snug. It was such a cute and unique room, with it's little spiral staircase up to the bathroom. The Inn is beautifully decorated with attention to detail and the hospitality was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.... More

This place is way way cool. Our room was HUGE and really well appointed. Loved both the front porch and the back deck. The breakfast was fantastic and the setting perfect. The walk to the harbor was a bit longer than expected but in no way too far. Enjoy!
