We stayed at the apartment-style lodging for one night only (unfortunately!). It was a great space, clean linens, newer bathroom, squishy high bed with footstool even. Very cute and loved that it was set apart from other rooms. Plenty of space for even a small family to stay for a few nights. We didn't use the kitchenette area but had... More

Very personally run B&B with nice, clean rooms, attentive service and an excellent breakfast. Walking distance to the mansions and waterfront. Quiet area, beautifully renovated old historical mansion.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary several years ago and had a great experience! Our room was lovely and I think it was considered one of the smaller of all the rooms. The bed was so comfortable and the furniture was gorgeous. This place has a great location where you are right between the mansions area and... More

The Inn was cozy, charming & quaint but it didn't stop there. We met Marc the owner very friendly, knowledgable of the area & surprisingly our breakfast... More

Loved the location - off a quiet street in Newport, within walking distance to the Cliff Walk, marina, and other restaurants. Mark and Lauren were so helpful with recommendations and were around during the day and early evening which is nice for questions and recommendations. Marks breakfast of a Portugese omelet was delicious, and he let us use their bikes... More

We booked the Brass room for 3 persons. Ik was really a wonderful nice room, in white and blue colors. The king bed was super nice and very high. The breakfast is also super! You can choose from a card and the friendly owner, Mark Spring is making the breakfast for you.Newport is a must-see if you visit the Boston... More

This was our second time staying here and we enjoyed it every bit as much as the first. It is very professionally run with lovely accommodations and a first class breakfast. We booked our same room for next year before we left! (Newport Folk Festival weekend)

My friends and I traveled to Newport to visit the mansions and were looking to find a nice affordable place. We stumbled upon this Bed and Breakfast and were very happy with our stay. Overall, it is a nice place, we stayed in the Brass Room. The king bed was extremely comfy, but the single bed was hard as a... More

Mark is a wonderful host. Always available to offer information, friendly conversation and a delicious breakfast. Perfect location away from busy town but a short walk away. We will definitely return again.

My husband and I stayed at the Marshall Slocum Guest House Sunday night for a nearby wedding and this is one of the better B&B's we have stayed at in Newport. The set up of our room had a spiral staircase leading up to the bathroom which was not the most convenient layout but it was the only room available.... More
