We didn't have high expectations for this motel based on the reviews, but the motel met our needs. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet and cool. Staff was friendly. The property seemed a little run down - but overall we were satisfied. The price was a good value.

Stayed here for a girls weekend - was a little worried based on some recent reviews but it was definitely a good find for a night in Newport. We did put 5 adults into one room to save on costs, but with an oversized room (2 double beds and sofa pullout) it worked out really well. Our room was clean... More

Came to Newport for a weekend wedding and was very excited. Then I checked into the room. I should have asked to see it before handing over my credit card (the outside appearance should have clued me into the decades of non-maintenance). The furniture is comparable to what I had in my UF dorm back in 1993. They must not... More

Front desk took a phone call while checking us in. Safe wouldn't open and told it would be an hour and half before someone could help us. Proceeding down the hall the rooms smelled moldy. Housekeepers sprayed fragrance to cover it up. After being in the room all night feel sick. Never again so much for a last minute overnight.

The carpets were heavily stained and the hallway smelled like a musty basement. The ceiling of our room was stained and one wall had a crack that had been spackled but neither sanded or painted. We are circumnavigating the US by motorcycle. We have travelled over 7,000 miles and stayed in over 20 hotels/motels, including a motor court started in... More

The good: At $200/night, it's cheaper than most Newport hotels. It is about a mile away from Newport so they have a shuttle that $8/a day that runs like a taxi and picks and drops you off at certain locations when you call for it. It takes some time but taxis aren't easy to get as it is so it... More

My husband and I traveled to Newport for a friend's wedding and booked the Best Western because it was one of 2 places where they had reserved a room block at a discounted rate. We also elected to room with some friends, wanting to save some money and knowing that we wouldn't be spending very much time in the room.... More

Hotel had a shuttle service that took you into Newport- this was very convenient (cost was $6 per person- and when we called for pickup we only had to wait a few minutes) Pool was nice- no lifeguard. Room was fine wish it had a mini fridge. Overall a good value as we did not plan to spend a lot... More

Hotel was nice but they were redoing the floors so our hallway wasn't carpeted - made things a little noisier. Make sure to ask for room in already re-carpeted hallway. Pool area was ok, but no hot tub. While we were there some dork was smoking a cigar out at the pool around little kids.

Don't pass up on a clean, comfortable, and affordable hotel in tony Newport. We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western located right ouside the downtown area. The restaurant was great too. Definitely will stay there again.
