It was a very affordable place, especially in Newport, RI. Getting off the highway it was very easy to find and get to. Once there the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The place is a older Inn, not new, but walking into the room it was very clean. The next morning I met with a... More

My husband and I got a king room and it was roomy and clean. I did luck out an have a microwave and refrigerator in my room. After talking with the maid not all rooms have them so if you request a refrigerator I was told you will be charged $10/night. My only complaint was that I was on the... More

This was a very nice hotel but....the front desk staff is in need of customer service training OR they should hire staff who like their job and assisting people! The front desk just were annoyed and not very helpful.

The best value around Newport. The hotel was clean but a little dated. The staff were helpful especially the room staff/cleaners. You need to drive into town (not walk) but there's a supermarket within ten minutes walk - there's nothing else around the hotel. The on site restaurant was okay - a few problems, e,g, pancakes smelt of garlic (cooked... More

It was difficult to find a hotel in Newport for a decent price. Almost everything right in Newport is well over $200 per night. This hotel is not fancy, but I give it a "very good" rating because it is a great value and a great location. It's about a mile from downtown Newport. We had a standard room with... More

I stayed here during my precious Rhode Island summer vacation. The room was beautiful, clean & all appliances were functioning well. This place was very reasonable and is dead close to all the attractions Newport has to offer. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends out there that don't have globs of money to waste.

This was the only option left for a last minute stay in Newport. Given this, was pleasantly surprised. Overall the room was incredibly spacious (somehow got a suite with a pull out couch) and was clean. Furniture was a little dinged up but functional. They had a shuttle in and out of Newport downtown that we didn't use but seemed... More

This is my third time to stay at the Best Western in Newport RI for attending the Jazz Festival. I like it because of the value and closeness to the city and jazz festival location of Ft. Adams. I recommend the suite for lots of space, refrigerator, microwave, safe extra room during an extended stay.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room smelled of cat urine. I called the desk and they moved me to another room without all the amenities of the other rooms my family was staying in. Once I called, the staff brought me a fridge but dropped it on the floor and left. I called about... More

The hotel needs updating in its decor, and it had a smell in the hallways. It was a "no-frills" experience, which matched the rate in comparison to the hotels and B&B's that were local to Newport. You had to drive into town and pay for parking, or pay to take the hotel's shuttle into town. The accommodations were adequate. The... More
