Donna and Richard couldn't have been more kind. I was planning an overnight stay in Newport and they were most accommodating. They were very helpful in highlighting all Newport has to offer and answered any or all of my questions. Unfortunately, we had to cancel, but are looking forward to staying there in the future!

The owners were extremely hospitable and welcoming. They took us in after a computer glitch at another bed and breakfast. I highly recommend staying here during your visit to Newport. Excellent location, within walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars.

I have not been to Newport in a few years and I was shocked to see some of the hotel prices there. Granted I was looking for a Saturday night stay in July but the hotel rates still seemed excessive. I decided to look at Bed and Breakfast properties as an alternative. This was a one night get-away with a... More

We stayed two nights here during a hot week in July 2015. We were fortunate to have one of the largest rooms (maybe the largest?), with a king size bed and our own bathroom. (Some rooms share baths.) The room was charming, with lots of space and attractive decorations. Although it was quite hot and the room had only a... More

I'm going with 4 stars cuz the owners were so nice and would be very helpful if I didn't know most of what I needed for Newport. The location is excellent, the rate was decent, the place is cute, good wi-fi. 5 min walk into town, 1 minute to Bellevue Ave. and 12-15 walk to the beach. But the bed... More

Thanks for the helpful review Joanie. Hd no idea there was an issue with the mattress.Immediately after reading your review I went out and ordered a top of the line Serta "Bellagio" pillow top mattress for next day delivery. It's their top of the line mattress, the same one used in all the rooms at the Billagio hotel in Vegas.... More

We pulled into Newport and went to our inn to find they did not have the reservation I had made in December. Panic set in. It was 1:00 and we had a wedding at 4:00. The owner helped find a new room for us and we lucked out finding a spot at The Historic Hill Inn. Just by chance they... More

Great Location for visiting Newport. Walkable distance to downtown, beach, mansions. Hosts extremely accommodating and knowledgable of local area. Rooms have a very homely feel to them and some great furniture. Can have the peace and quiet or the hustle and bustle. Bars and restaurants all within a 2-5 minute walk or peaceful greens and gardens just up the road.... More

Admittedly, I booked quite late, only a few days before a holiday weekend. There were only a few options left in Newport, and this B&B was the highest rated of them all. I was on a vacation with my girlfriend and was hoping for a high-class experience, so I booked the two nights at $374 a night ($420 inclusive of... More

I booked a stay at the Historic Hill Inn last minute on priceline.com ... We got a great deal and our room was enormous, it was the size of an apartment, we had a living room, a huge bedroom, bathroom and kitchen ... the biggest place I've ever stayed and especially given the price it was incredible. Best of all... More

Perfect location - short walking distance to the heart of town. The bed was comfortable with a huge bathroom attached. The owners were welcoming, personable, friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the couple of days we stayed there and will definitely return for a visit.
