Rick the owner and manager of the Inn was very nice and accommodating. He is a hands on person and takes pride in his properties. He also has a very nice staff who satisfied our every need. We stayed there for 2 nights during low season. There was only one other guest there at the time. We traveled with friends... More

My husband and I had been planning a weekend getaway to Newport for several months. We have visited several times during the summertime and often thought it would be nice if we didn't have to drive home at the end of the day and we could enjoy some of the night life. So, once we picked a date, we chose... More

My husband and I recently went to this Inn and were shocked to be brought up to our room to find a 1990's TV with a fuzzy picture, stains on the duvet and it had not been vacuumed. Once we complained they brought a small flat screen(still fuzzy) and changed the cover to the bed. The shower tile had mold... More

Before you give your card to Mr.Rick Farrick ask to see your room first.DO NOT let him run your card because if you are unhappy he will NOT reverse the charge. The first room that we had was on the third floor with a bathroom so small and with the slope of the roof you had to be a contortionist... More

The location of this B & B is great, however it leaves alot to be desired. My husband and I have visited lots of B & B's and look forward to our stays and this was a disappointment for us. We got to the location and the gentlemen that helped us seemed like he did not have our reservation. He... More

We just had our wedding and rented about 40 rooms. The Clarkeston, Admiral Farragut and Cleveland house virtually were all ours. What a great venue for housing a wedding crowd! This was really a highlight of the wedding for all of our guests. The hospitality of Rick and his staff was impeccable. Pros: 1)Amazing location to downtown, 1 block form... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Melville Inn over the weekend of the Newport Jazz Festival. It's a very cozy inn, well within walking distance of the center of town and no more than a ten- or fifteen-minute drive from the various Gilded Age "cottages" and cliff walk. The innkeeper is very accommodating. He's a wonderful breakfast host. He... More

On a last minute whim my husband and I booked a mid week summer stay at this inn. It was by far the most reasonable rate for the area especially at this time of year. We were so glad we selected this B&B. The location is excellent, one block off of the main strip on a quiet street. They have... More

I had never been to Newport so I had no idea what to expect and no idea of locations. We planned a last minute weekend but couldn't find anything in "Newport" that was affordable so I booked a motel from a low-end chain in "Middletown" which I understood to be just a few miles away from the center of the... My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Newport. We randomly found the Inns of Newport and could not have been more pleased. The Inns are made up of several homes each with a breakfast area. When we arrived, the owner/manager offered us a better room than what we had originally booked and let us look at several rooms before... More
