This hotel is very expensive. We had 12 girls and split it and still ended up paying a lot...but that is to be expected in the area. The rooms we got had 2 full bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen dining room and living room, and 2 balconies. Basically it is an apartment. The pool is fine...surprisingly it wasn't packed being... My wife and I have traveled a little throughout the U.S. over the last 30 years. Since we don't have the opportunity to travel a lot we don't mind paying extra for very nice accommodations. We thought we were getting that with the Wellington Resort in Newport, R.I. We were DEAD WRONG. First off, this is not a resort or... More

I love spending Thanksgiving in Newport and this hotel rental has always been a great place. This year, we were located on the ocean side view overlooking the bay with the Newport Bridge lit up at night in the distance. The actual room is like an apartment with two bedrooms and bathrooms, a complete full kitchen, dining and living rooms... More

I thought this hotel was just ok. The layout of the hotel is arranged in a weird way; the rooms are in different buildings unconnected to each other. The buildings all look the same so it's easy to get confused about which building is yours. The 10am checkout time was a little odd, especially during the low season when there... More

This is a great, affordable, centrally located, and well-run hotel in downtown Newport. We booked a two-bedroom suite for a great price, and we had more room than we know what to do with. Our suite came with a full kitchen, dining room with dining room table, a large living room, and two full baths. Also, we had two decks... More

I have stayed here a few times for a girls weekend. The location is fantastic and it is great that it has an outdoor pool on the waterfront, however this last time I could not justify the crazy amount we spent(almost $800 night) with the condition of this particular unit which was extremely dated and rough. 10:00 check-out is harsh... Our family has been coming to the Wellington since our 2 kids were in diapers, and now they are in their 20's and we all still love to visit each July! Reason? So much to do both on-site and nearby, either by walking or biking. We often don't use the car more than a few times all week, for either... More

We stayed at the Wellington for two nights on our anniversary vacation in Newport and loved it. The view of the harbor from our balcony was beautiful. It was pricey, but it was impressive. The unit had a bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom and in suite washer/dryer. The unit was immaculate, the bed was comfortable. Allie checked me in and... More

I stayed at the Wellington Resort this past weekend with 13 other girls for a bachelorette party. We booked two rooms and had more than enough space for everyone. The rooms are not only spacious but very clean and while not super modern, they have everything you need. All rooms have beautiful ocean views and easy access to a nice... More

We love staying at the Wellington. The spacious layout of the suites with two full baths, the views, lush grounds, helpful/courteous staff and awesome local make for the best vacation experience. Newport has been one of our vacation destinations for several years. Purchasing a timeshare at the beautiful Wellington Resort a few years ago was a dream come true. When... More
