Upon calling the Inns of Newport, I spoke with Rick who gave me excellent advice and information about his inns and their individual rooms, where to pick up the keys, where to park the car and booking dinner reservations ahead of time for the holiday weekend. His choices of restaurants were excellent. The room was charming and the bathroom big,... More

Stayed in the elms room with spa bathtub. It was our anniversary so we were willing to splurge a little. While the Spa bathtub was spacious and nice, the jets clearly hadn't been cleaned or run between us and the previous guests and when we turned them on, we were a bit grossed out. This and other details like no... More

This B&B is located in an old house in downtown Newport and contains 5 rooms themed on the Newport Mansions. We stayed in the Belcourt room which is themed onthe Belcourt Castle. It has a nonworking Fireplace and a 2 person Jacuzzi tub. I thought the room had nice amenities and is decorated with antiques and old fashioned wall and... More

I've rated this two star, due to the poor experience we had. When we arrived at the Wynstone, it was not obvious where to park, so I parked by the roadside & my wife found a sign on the door saying we had to collect keys from another building. After finally finding the other building, and going inside we could... More

I spent the weekend at the Wynstone Inn during the Summer of 2013. I was happy to find a bed and breakfast at a somewhat affordable price for Newport, however, I am greatly disappointed and frankly, disgusted with the management and inn! At this point, I would NEVER suggest that a friend or family member stay at any of the... More

I want to give a good review, but I can't. This inn is a satellite of a group of inns. You check in at a central location and are given instructions as to where to go. That is fine, and I knew it when I booked and had all the locations in the GPS. After check in with Rick who... More

We stayed in the Belcourt room for one night. We checked in at the Cleveland House and the woman there was friendly but didn't offer any advice about the city as others have mentioned. When you get to the Wynstone, be prepared to take your luggage up some pretty steep stairs. There was a huge bed that dominated the room.... More

This is one of the classic/old style inns in Newport old town. about 7 short blocks from the main town square, but close 2 blocks to restaurants/premenade/marina. The inn is part of a group of classic inns. must be similar to others. you need to eat breakfast and check-in at a different location then than the actual inn. the room... More

We were originally booked at The Cleveland House but upon checking in we discovered were were "upgraded" to The Wynstone property and we were not dissapointed. This location was even better for our show at the Yachting Center and is ideally located with short walking distance to all that downtown Newport offers. Never having stayed at a B&B before, I... Booked a three nights at the Clarketon Inn and was upgraded to The Wynstone Inn. Apparently the Inns of Newport are managed by the same company. This was my first time staying at a B&B and I must say I was impressed. The location was superb being within walking distance of the downtown area. The room was very clean and... More
