My title says it all. My wife and I stayed here nearly a week toward the end of July. The service was excellent, the location ideal, the rates very competitive (when shopped online), and the room in which we stayed-comfortable. This B&B was a terrific value for us. We will likely return to Newport next Summer and, if we elect... More

We booked the Cleveland Inn last minute through a Trip Advisor link to booking.com. Got a bad feeling at check-in with this greeting from Rick, "Name? Credit card." Now, I have been born and raised a yankee, but this seemed poor form for a historic B&B in a tourist town, even in New England. We proceeded to get what felt... More

We had booked at the Cleveland House next door but was given the option with checking out the rooms available first and so took the ground floor room at this Inn and got first dibs for breakfast the following morning. Remember to put your name on the sign in breakfast list for your time preference. The french toast was good.... More

Thank you so much for your review and we are happy that you enjoyed our French Toast made with Portuguese Sweet Bread. I apologize for the towel shortage in your room; it was definitely an over-sight. We normally supply our larger rooms with 3 towels and we are happy to supply additional towels upon request. Parking in Newport is extremely... More

...and excellent service. We stayed in the attic room mentioned on one of the reviews below. It was perfectly fine. It had a light an airy quality, ample space and a new bathroom. The owners and other staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. On Saturday morning, my wife and I both had blueberry pancakes and sausage, cooked to... More

The Admiral Farragut Inn is a historic in built around 1702. Understand we were British Colonies when this was built. There were no elevators in 1702, and thus a building built in 1702 shouldn’t have one. Our room was a very spacious room on the third floor with plenty of head clearance, and a very comfortable king sized bed. If... More

Room in the attic was 8 x 8. Should have known better when "sharp" owner called day before to ask how tall my husband was! No coffee in the morning and unappetizing english muffins and other day old "toast your own" bread. Must say that it was nicely located but that's about it.

We booked this inn on a spur-of-the-moment urge to visit Newport and were dlighted with it.. The management and staff were wonderful. We were given a free upgrade to a first floor room (''The Admiral's Room'') with an impressive king-size bed that had ornate carved wooden posts and a mural on the wall across from it. The bath included a... More

What a disappointing experience in this run down place. Although we were upgraded to a "better" room, the cleanliness and bed were disappointing. There was a dirty duvet under the sheets, the yakuzi was worn and dirty and the room smelled musty. Although we were promised and had paid for a full Amrican breakfast, we had to help ourselves from... More

Our room (The Generals Room) was nice and cosy, well set up and very much as expected. However the room for our daughter next door was not clean (cobwebs in the corners) and ants on her bed. That put her off. The location is optimal. Breakfast was not served at the inn but across the street. Evidently the owners have... More
