Last weekend at the Attwater Villa was perfect. My friends and I wanted a weekend away with lots of fun, comfort and good times. Attwater Villa was the ideal location. It is very close to the Cliff Walk and to downtown. We didn't need to worry about our cars all weekend as Roland was very accomodating in letting us park... more

Over a 4 year period, this is our third time visting Attwater and they consistently remain a 5 star. We have recommended Attwater in the past and continue to recommend. Great location to Cliff Walk, restaurants, etc. (and Roland has made great recommendations for food!) We didn't have to hop in our car all weekend. We look forward to another... more

My coworkers and I had been looking forward to our girls' weekend for so long, and were so pleasantly surprised by our wonderful accomodations at the Attwater Villa. We were in the cottage building, which is not really cottage-like at all, but instead a large house with three levels. The second floor, where we stayed, was very roomy, with two... more

Five of my friends and I recently stayed at Attwater's Cottage Annex (second floor) for a Girls' Getaway Weekend. From the moment I first spoke to Sadie on the phone, I knew we had chosen the right place. Roland greeted us as soon as we arrived and was full of helpful suggestions about where to eat and what to see.... more

We have stayed at Attwater Villa 3 times over several years. We really love Roland and Sadie. They make you feel like you've been close friends forever. This trip we brought my sister and brother in-law and they both loved it also. more

I've stayed in 3 inns in Newport over the last 5 years. All have been good, but the Attwater Villa is extraordinary. I can't think of staying anywhere else in this lovely town, since this is, in my experience, the best bang for your lodging buck you can get in this fairly pricey part of New England. The ghosts of... more

My wife and I just booked our July trip to Newport to stay at the Attwater for the 4th time. The Inn is in a great location right by the Tennis Hall of Fame and up the street from Thames St. We find this location makes for easy walking access in all directions (walk down Bellview, to the Cliff Walk,... more

I stayed her with my Mom for a mini-vacation. We were pleasantly surpirsed that we got 2 deluxe rooms, instead of the 1 room we originally booked for the same price. Reason being that something was not working properly with the electric in that room. We were more then happy to have 2 adjoining rooms! We both liked our rooms... more

My husband and I have stayed at the Attwater four times, and we have booked our Newport vacation there for this summer as well. The reasons we continue to return are many: Roland and Sadie are very helpful and friendly, but not overbearing; the breakfast in the morning is healthy and scrumptious and so varied, a great way to start... more

Very disappointed with our stay here. Would not stay again or recommend to a friend. My husband and I stayed in our room as little as possible. Feedback based on the following: 1.) Room was very dingy, smelled old and of mildew. The carpet was also gross. I didn't walk around without flip flops on. 2.) Furniture was old and... more

We hate to say this but we really do not think these people would have been happy no matter where they stayed. We would have refunded their money and found them other accommodations had they said something to us.
