We went to Newport for a couple's getaway weekend. The Beech Tree Inn was a great place to stay. It was not too far from all the restaurants and shops. The room was sunny and bright, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful with advice on local attractions. More

Clearly the best breakfast of all B&B's! Very good rooms, lots of space. Welcoming staff. Not far from Thames and Newport's central tourist district. Very reasonably priced. Recommend highly; will do again. More

As a Veterinarian, I can always leave my dogs at the office. However, with this trip, we elected to travel with our two dogs-one 18 lb hyper terrier and one mellow 60 lb dobie x. Jim and his son-in-law, Jeff were so accommodating to both us and our canine friends. The Inn was beautiful. The location was perfect. I was... More

You say you need a weekend away. You say the spark has gone out of your romance. Have I got a place for you. We decided to take a trip to Newport, RI, see the mansions, have some great seafood, a little romance too. We looked up B&Bs, and The Beech Tree Inn fit the bill. It was close to... More

This one of the most welcoming and comfortable inns we have found as we travel with our sweet beagle up and down the East Coast. Indeed, dogs are not merely tolerated but are treated as the special guests they are. Many of our fellow guests had dogs with them, but you will encounter no doggie-odors or any other issues whatever... More

My husband and I absolutely LOVED the Beech Tree Inn. I would never even consider staying anywhere else in New Port. Our room was beautiful, bed and furniture was very new and clean. The service was above excellent, couldn't have been better. The breakfasts are amazing! The location is perfect. There wasn't anything I disliked about the Beech Tree. We... More

The Beech Tree Inn was absolutely wonderful. The owners and staff were more than helpful and friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean and the bathrooms were much more updated than other inns that I have been to recently. The breakfasts were wonderful and you even had a choice of what you wanted (which is unusual for bed and... More

We stayed a couple of nights at the Beech Tree Inn in August, it was very pleasant because of the place (very clean and cozy), the great breakfast (French toast with cinnamon is awesome!) and the friendliness of the Inn keeper. The Inn is located a 15/20 minutes walk from the center of Newport, so you may prefer go by... More

The owners are former military and solicit TDY/TAD business. The room was clean and very quiet. Jim understands the military starts at an early hour and makes breakfast to accommodate. It is an easy drive to the Navy base and the Inn has off-street parking. More

We've stayed in quite a few B&B's in Newport. While this one was clean and nice enough, there are so many in town that are sooo much nicer. IMHO, it's not on the right side of town. Although we were certainly close enough to walk to the waterfront, I didn't get the "safe" feeling in the neighborhood, so we drove... More
