We actually had a reservation at another property for our anniversary but they had a fire the day of our arrival. One of the staff members called over to The Chandler and found us a room. Julie at the front was so very helpful. She really made sure our stay was special. We had a villa. There were no water... More

So happy I made reservations here for a weekend. Not only a stunning view and a beautiful hotel, the staff is unbelievably accommodating and friendly. The hotel offers complimentary rides, very welcome service when you don't know the area well. Used this service to go and come back from dinner. Much appreciated. The room was very clean (I am BIG time... More

My husband and I enjoyed our 2nd trip here last weekend, to celebrate our anniversary. We had our 1st experience here 2 years ago for our honeymoon. During this visit, we enjoyed the Empire Room, prior visit was the Gothic Room. Both were wonderful. Décor is incredible, down to the most minute details. Empire Room is a much brighter room... More

This was the 3rd stay for my wife and I at the Chanler and each time has been fantastic. We have stayed in 3 different rooms, the Gothic, Williamsburg and French Provincial, and all were stunning. Honestly the pictures online do not do the rooms justice, the rooms are even grander in person. We received excellent service throughout our stay... More

Beautiful Hotel with an amazing location on cliff walk not far from the beach..We had a beautiful room with heated floor bathroom with a fireplace overlooking water. We had dinner at the Spiced Pear restaurant which was very gracious upscale dinning. Loved the place wish it was bigger in size..

In between snowstorms, I visited The Chanler this past week for another perfect stay. The Chanler is a stunningly beautiful place with a staff of genuinely gracious people who enthusiastically work to make your visit delightful. I enjoyed another delicious dinner at the Spiced Pear. This was my first stay in a room other than one of the Ocean Villas... More

We had such high expectations for our winter weekend at The Chanler from reading the reviews. And for the price (>$400/night for a third floor small room at the end of January), we did expect a lot, And most of the stay was indeed fabulous. The staff are amazing, the food terrific, and the setting breathtaking. And being handed a... More

The Chanler is enchanting. That's the first word I think of; second would be Gatsby. You will feel like your a Royal here with the first class treatment you will receive. I'm very hard with reviews and I'm extremely picky with customer service and taste. I had the WOW effect. The food is outstanding, especially their breakfast and turkey burger.... More

We have stayed here a couple of times as we search to buy a house in Newport, We think this is a wonderful hotel. The location is terrific - close to town and beach with some magnificent views. The rooms are fantastic - some so far over the top you just can't help love them. The staff are both efficient... More

We spent one lovely evening at The Chanler and enjoyed our brief visit immensely. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Williamsburg room which was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, especially the artichoke and crabmeat omelette. The Chanler is a very special place and we look forward to our next... More
