The Sarah Kendall House is a great place to spend a quiet private weekend away. The location, the homemade breakfast, and the helpful owners and staff added to the experience. I will definitely return!

Having the whole Inn to ourselves was wonderful...like living in our own private mansion! Beautiful view of the water, Goat Island and the pearl necklace of the bridge from our room. Delicious breakfast prepared by Bryan, who is informative and knowledgable about everything Newport! Loved our room with a warm, cozy fireplace! We'll be back again when the weather is... More

We booked through B&B.com using a gift card and never heard from the inn concerning our reservation. I even called and left a number asking for a return call to confirm reservation. We arrived to check in and were expected. We were guided to our room on the third floor of the tower, the Getaway suite, by a friendly young... More

Huge, comfortable suite, amusing decor, great views of water and Goat Island, walking distance to center and around historic old section. Massive breakfast, very good. Helpful, affable hosts. Beautiful garden. Expensive in season, but so is everything else in Newport. Be sure to spend some time lounging in the tower.

Absolutely enjoyed all the antiques and family history. Being able to walk into town and being near the water was an absolute pleasure and an ideal way to spend time. The innkeeper was genuinely nice and made time to talk about the home and area. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.

Been there before, and we'll go back again! We stayed for a long weekend in April. The Inn is close to so many things we love Newport for! We walked to the Wharf to do some shopping, and had a great dinner at "22 Bowen's"...a little pricey but delightful! Also ate at a place called "Rhumline" just around the corner... More

My wife and I spent a lovely weekend in the Isaac Kendall Room during Winter Festival Week. Rooms are half of the In Season Price at $175 per night. This historic Inn is a short walk from everything, and boasts beautiful views of the harbors as well as a third floor view from the Inn Tower. The breakfast was a... More

The Sarah Kendall House is off the beaten path of Thames Street. A five minute walk brings you to the center of Newport's harbor-front. We've stayed here three times and always enjoy going back. The owners have been in the hospitality business a long time and know everything you could want to know about Newport. If you like authentic antiques... More
