This proved to be a very nice weekend getaway for my wife and I. Great location, good continental breakfast, comfortable suite with table chairs, kitchenette. This Lodge is a hidden Jewel. Only a short drive to the Newport Visitors Center where you can park free off season and a small fee during the summer I hear. The visitors center is... More

May 11-15, 2015. This was a good stay with only one bad night...needless to say the walls are thin and "Young Love" persisted throughout the night...ummm. Anyway, after that night I had a good nights sleep. Had double queen room with small kitchenette. Laundry just down the hallway. A very short walk to the exchange and commissary and the Navy... Nothing special, but the rooms are large and they do have small kitchenettes with ample-size refrigerators, four stove-top burners, microwaves, and dishes/pots/utensils. No oven though. We brought a crock pot and a blender and were very glad we did. Rooms aren't squeaky clean or recently renovated (the tub in our bathroom had mold and rotten areas around the outside of... More

In general, Navy lodges are not great hotel. However, the renovated N avy Lodge in Newport is great. It is small, cute, clean and the rooms are huge. Ask for a room overlooking the sea. If you are planning to go in the summer, make your rservations now. The location is great and very close to the famous Belvue

I stay here about once a month for a weekend. The rooms are large and very clean. The front desk service is the worst I've ever seen. She is terribly rude and incompetent. Last time we stayed here she told us we didn't have a reservation but after about 20 minutes she magically found it. One time I lost my... More

We stayed at the Navy Lodge on the Newport Naval Station with friends who have access. This is a great place to stay, big parking lot, great view of the ocean. There was a clerk on duty late and we got everything we needed. Plenty of parking right out front. Above all, it was CLEAN!

We stayed for a single night as a family of four for a pleasure trip to Newport. Getting a reservation can be tricky and you may have to plan weeks in advance at peak periods, but the Navy Lodge likely represents the best value for lodging in Newport. Their popularity readily supports this! The Commissary and PX are within walking... More

The title says it all. Almost all... The staff was friendly and helpful too! The hotel/motel was the typical design for the Navy Lodges...nicely appointed rooms, queen beds and a kitchenette. The view of Narragansett Bay was very nice.

We stayed for 3 nights to visit Newport. We had to be flexible and wanted to stay longer but no availability. It was perfect for our needs. Very clean, updated, close to Exchange, pleasant staff, good light breakfast, kitchenette, good lighting, plenty of outlets. Highly recommended!

Although it's difficult to get a reservation, we were able to stay at the Navy Lodge for 3 nights in June. The desk staff were pleasant and the room was huge. There were three of us staying and having the kitchen area was definitely a plus. Our daughter was even happy with the pull out couch and said it was... More
