My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Artful Lodger this past weekend and had a great time. Our room had a large jacuzzi tub which was very nice, along with a fireplace. The room was very clean and comfortable. We even forgot to bring wine glasses and were very happy to see that there were some in the... More

I absolutely loved this place. The location, the view from the dining area, that's what Newport is about! We had an amazing room with this awesome tub and fireplace. The bed was exquisite! Bathroom spacious and pristine. It even had a little in-room bistro set and mini fridge! But the best part was breakfast...holy cow it was amazing!!! I highly... More

Great getaway. Very welcoming innkeepers with great knowledge of off the the beaten path destinations around the town. Breakfast as good as described in other reviews, Room comfortable and warm. Building funky and fun. Narrow stairs to third floor lead to breakfast area which is bright and spacious with enjoyable views of harbor and sunsets. Elms mansion on street behind... More

Stayed here for three days recently. The breakfast by Randy is enough for the day! Very nice and like how all the guests sat around the table to chat. Convenient (2/3mile) to the centre of Newport. There are some really nice restaurants closer too and Randy and Lisa can advise. Rooms are quaint and simple. Towels did smell a little... More

Stayed at the Artful Lodger in November 2015. Rich and Lisa are excellent hosts. Their knowledge of the area is impeccable. The breakfast were super. Lisa remembers what you like for breakfast so that the following morning you don't have to ask. The B&B has an area on the third floor which is nice for relaxing and watching sunsets.

My husband and spent the last 7 days touring the New England states to see the beautiful fall leaves. Our last night was spent at the Artful Lodger Inn. What a fun experience we had! We arrived just in time to see a spectacular sunset from the beautiful sunroom. Randy and Lisa could not have been more welcoming! We enjoyed... More

We had the PLEASURE of staying at the Artful Lodger Inn for a long weekend in Newport, while visiting our daughter at Yale. I can't say enough wonderful things about this quaint BnB! Randy and Lisa were the ultimate hosts - friendly, fun and accommodating! Randy's breakfasts were delicious, while Lisa did a beautiful job of inquiring about the guests... More

Location, location meant we walked next door to The Elms and to other Newport Mansions as well as the Cliff Walk. Though our room wasn't large, the bathroom was adequate, shower excellent and clean, clean, clean. For breakfast we went upstairs to a sunroom with a view of the bay, and Randy served us specially cooked hot meals and bowls... More

We read the website description of this B&B, which showed the room we liked as being on the second floor with an enclosed porch portion and a small outside portion.... we also read that the brkfst area was on the 3rd floor and had a wonderful view of the bay, which it did. What we DIDN'T know was that we... More

We sure thank you and everyone who takes the time to share their thoughts regarding their stay at the Artful Lodger. Part of the charm of Newport are the many "historic" homes that grace the streets of Newport - especially the mansions! The inn is a 150yr home and does have its own "quirky" charms, we are sorry you did... More
