What a gem! John and Jennifer know how to make guests feel happy at their lovely B&B. Beautiful rooms, nicely decorated, very good breakfasts. The house is centrally located, close to downtown Newport. Very pleasant hosts always available for help. Highly recommended! more

Our stay was excellent. I cannot wait to return next summer. The moment you walk in you see a VERY clean cozy home. The owners (John and Jennifer) are kind and full of information about the area and completely open with the house. They had a great way of making you feel welcome and tell delightful stories in their English... more

Just returned from a stay at The Brinley Victorian Inn. I simply love Newport but this inn is not one of Newports finest. The owners, John and Jennifer follow you around as if you are a child and I am 46 years old. Jennifer is the rudest of the two often scolding you for closing the door with a little... more

The best part of the Brinley is its location. It's a couple of blocks from Bellevue Ave and a 5-7 minute walk to Thames St. The cottages are a few minutes ride away and you can walk to the Cliff Walk. The owners are very helpful and friendly and even picked us up from the bus station (we didn't have... more

My mother and I recently spent an extended weekend in Newport and based on the reviews I'd read about Brinley we decided to stay there. Honestly, I can't write enough positive feedback on our stay! The innkeepers were friendly and offered terrific breakfast and enjoyable conversation ;) Parking was convenient as was Brinley's location (walking distance to downtown, close to... more

We had a fantastic stay at the Brinley Victorian Inn. John and Jennifer have an incredible amount of local knowledge that led us to some great dining and an altogether enjoyable weekend. The room we stayed in was clean and had a romantic gas fire place. We look forward to coming back. more

The Brinley Victorian is a great inn in a good location. The rooms are nice, and the breakfast is very good. They also have parking, which is a huge plus in Newport. For these reasons, I rate it a 2 rather than a 1. The downside is that the hosts were *extremely* rude to us. When I first arrived, I... more

John and Jennifer are wonderful hosts!! They are always available and willing to assist. The Inn and rooms are very clean and the homemade pastries for breakfast are to die for. We stayed for several nights in August and would recommend to everyone. We travelled around New England for three weeks and this was our most enjoyable stop. I can't... more
