Looking for an inn in Newport, RI with charm, history, location, comfort, quiet, afernoon tea and breakfast, free parking, and "HOSPITALITY" this is the place to come! The Inn has a wonderful history (worth looking into the history of the home) and that is just what this inn is an unpretentious home. The Inn is clean, quiet, comfortable, with an... More

This was our third time visiting Newport, but our first time staying at the LaFarge. First and foremost, our innkeeper, Marise, went way above and beyond to make sure we were settled in perfectly, and was even kind enough to let us hang around a couple of hours past our check-out time because of a later train departure in Kingston.... This was our second stay. Once again, everything was wonderful. Different innkeeper, just as friendly and helpful as 2 years ago. We stayed in the same room and all was the same and all was excellent. Great central location - easy walk to historic area and wharf. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for two nights towards the end of our 17 day tour of New England and everything was just perfect from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly had to continue with our journey and move on. We were greeted by the Inn keeper Marise like old friends, after two days we certainly felt that we were. This... More

We had a fantastic two night stay at La Farge Perry House just last week. Marise, our host, was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and helped us make the most of our time in Newport. She also makes a delicious breakfast! The home was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the privacy in this quiet and beautiful neighborhood.... More

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the La Farge Perry House. It was an amazing B & B. Very quaint with a homey atmosphere, which Marise, our delightful hostess, was a large part in creating. She served some very tasty breakfasts and treats in the afternoon. During breakfast, we met a lot of very... More

A beautiful house with a charming hostess in Marise. The highest four poster bed we had ever seen in our lives, complete with steps to get in and out, and mouth watering breakfasts. Marise was a conversational delight.

This lovely historic house is ideally located in a quiet area which is within walking distance of the town centre and close to where all the grand houses are. The house is decorated in keeping with its era - the dining room in particular has beautiful murals depicting local scenes. Our room was on the third floor and consisted of... More

Arrived here exhausted at the end of a two and a half week visit to the States and after getting hopelessly lost so not too happy. But from the moment Marise opened the door we were in heaven. She is an amazing lady and I can't praise her too highly. Welcoming, kind, helpful and amazing cook. Absolutely cannot fault this place at... More

It starts with innkeeper Marise, who is just marvellous. Interesting, entertaining and full of tips to make a visit to Newport as good as it could be. The property is charming, well located and oh so comfortable. Spotlessly clean, fully of character, very comfortable beds, help yourself to tea and coffee (not forgetting the yummy homemade bakes) and a totally... More
