We'd give this place 3 1/2 stars, but the app doesn't allow that. We spent two nights at the Spring Street Inn, arriving late the first night and leaving very early in the morning on the last day - which was not ideal for check-in and check-out, since the owner does not live on site and it wasn't very clear... Stayed one night to attend a nearby wedding . Great location in the heart of Newport . Walk to Thames to see all the shops and restaurants . Close to everything . Parking on site . Nice home cooked breakfast and service seemed available pretty much around the clock . Rooms are quaint but can be a bit noisy .... More

The main reason for choosing this B&B was the location. It is situated close to the downtown centre with many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Also, there is the added attraction of parking on site. Yes, it is a small parking area but perfectly adequate with a bit of care. The B&B is clearly in need of upgrading... More

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a touring itinerary in New England and was very pleased with our choice as regards location. Driving in Newport can be awkward as the streets are quite narrow and often one-way so the central location meant that most attractions were walkable. Our room location wasn't quite so good, room 1 which opened right... More

The location was perfect. If was close to the restaurant and shopping areas as well as the mansions. It was far enough away that is why quiet as well. A perfect combination. The rooms were clean as was the bed and breakfast as a whole. The parking is a little tight, but it is the perfect place to leave your... More

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was very conveniently located a few blocks away from the heart of Newport. The innkeeper, as well as the other staff, were very friendly and accommodating. Coffee and water was available all day and tasty snacks (i.e., banana bread, foccacia bread and hummus) were available in the afternoon. The breakfast menu... More

We stayed here dueling Newport Jazz Festival and it was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we felt welcomed at the inn. The breakfast was very good, also. Our room was tiny and the bath was really tiny, but it was immaculate and everything you needed was provided. The parking lot was also tiny, so we... More

I'm so glad we found the Spring Street Inn and that they had availability during a busy weekend in Newport! The location of this inn is fantastic - steps away from all of the best restaurants in town, shops, the ocean and a very short drive to all of the gorgeous mansions on Bellevue Avenue and Ocean Drive. We also... More

Typically stay at Viking hotel but we decided to give The Spring Street Inn a chance. The location couldn't be better as it is one block to Thames Street and all the restaurants, shops and bars. Lets start from the beginning. Adequate parking for 7 cars which is one for each of the rooms. Outside of the Inn needs some... More

My husband and I were looking for one night in Newport and were lucky to get the last available room. It was on the first floor and we did hear noise but only at 8 in am as breakfast served and I had already smelled the coffee. Otherwise quiet and very comfortable bed. We know Newport well but got super... More
