Stayed here two nights in August. Room was large. Checked in easily. Breakfast was good. Hubby and son ordered eggs one morning and they were too runny for their taste, but mine breakfast was delicious. I didn't have eggs. Location is fantastic. Just a few steps to the main waterfront area where all the stores, boats, and restaurants are located.... More

We spent a very enjoyable couple of days here at the end of August. The Inn itself is comprised of two adjacent buildings. We stayed in the main house, which is a small Victorian, well maintained and cozy. There is a nice enclosed porch on the first level as well as a fireplaced living room and two dining areas. Our... We went to Newport for our anniversary. Second time we have stayed at the Fair Street Inn. Never a disappointment. The location is convenient to all that we want to see and do and Denise is a great host. Cannot imagine staying anyplace else when visiting Newport.

This is our 3rd year staying here. For the price this is a great option. You are a very short walk to all that is the newport waterfront. We have stayed in 3 different rooms in the main house and have enjoyed them all. The breakfast is very good. The best part is being able to walk to all the... More

You won't be disappointed- right across the street from Newport Yachting Club, a short walk to Thames Street shoppes and restaurants. The location is off the beaten just enough to be convenient and intimate at the same time! Innkeeper- Denise is an incredible host and a wealth of knowledge on the area- recommendations are always spot on. Rooms are quaint... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights while attending 2013 Newport annual Bucket Regatta. Location is excellent. Easy to find on a quiet street but close to the main action of the town. Lovely place surrounded by flowers. The house is old-style charm, exactly what you expect from the Rhode Island B&B. Flowery old-fashioned wallpaper and bedding, slightly squeaky... More

We stayed at this property for one night in June 2014. The first thing that I would like to mention is that there are actually two buildings under the same management located next to each other. I made the reservation for Fair Street Guesthouse but was given a room at the Fair Street Inn. I am not sure if there... More

Went for an overnighter in Newport. Loved the location of the inn. The room was great...much bigger than anticipated. The bathroom was a nice size also. Excellent shower and bath gels. Breakfast was perfect. Loved sitting outside sipping my morning coffee watching the town wake up.

The rooms are well kept although the shower was a wee bit small. The breakfast was very good and the owner very friendly. We would definately stay here again. The location is very central and perect as a base for exploring a fantastic area.

This was a great place to stay. The location is amazing! Less than 5 min walk to the water and in the middle of great shops and restaurants but on a side street so it's quiet at night. The rooms were clean and a good size and Denise was very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended.
