Ended our New England tour with 3 nights in Newport, Rhode Island. Fair Street Guest House was our final stay in the USA. This B & B could not be more central as it is just off the main street, but was remarkably quiet. Although the 3 houses which make up this guest house were very busy with a wedding... more

From the moment I arrived I felt like I was staying with friends. My room was beautiful, very clean with all the amenties. Denise gave me maps and brochures based on my interests. Breakfast each day was delicious. I enjoyed the innkeeper's company while eating. The place was very quiet and within walking distance of the waterfront. It was an... more

I was the inn for my 5th Wedding Annv. We had a great time at this inn. It is the ideal location to visit everything in Newport. The owners were very polite and the breakfast was good, unlike some other inns that I have stayed at. The only thing that were missing was Pastries and Coffee during the day as... more

After a long year of trials and tribulations my daughter and I took advantage of a gift certificate that my daughter had purchased a year ago. It was a great Christmas gift and I recommend a gift certificate to anyone for birthday, anniversary, etc. We went to Newport in late Sept. The weather cooperated and although there were many travelers... more

The location was the best with everything you could want within a short walk. Hosts were very accommodating and the breakfast got us off on a good start for the day. Will be going back next year for sure. more

We have styayed in Newport many times but by far this is the best B & B. What makes it # 1 are the owners, Wayne and Denise. After they cook you a delicious breakfast, they would always come by and chat and offer help or suggestions. That is what makes a great bed and breakfast. Ofcourse it helps to... more

I had a perfect stay with Wayne & Denise over the weekend for a friend's wedding. The room was absolutely beautiful-- we had a large room with queen size bed and private bath. The room was very comfortable and the decor was more than perfect for a weekend away in a beach town and away from the city. The B&B... more

Quiet and clean. Friendly proprietors. A one minute walk to shops and restaurants. A three minute drive to the mansions. If you’re looking to be pampered with fancy soaps, expensive sheets and freshly baked pastries, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for an excellent B&B value within expensive Newport, this is the place. more

We just returned from our stay at the Fair Street Guest Houses. Our original B&B reservation was for another place, but the owner had a family emergency to attend to. We booked at the Fair Street just a few days before our trip. Breakfast was excellent both days...eggs, corned beef hash, french toast, sausage, as well as fruit, toast, coffee,... more
