The location was awesome, we would park our car near the hotel and the hotel gave us a parking permit,. We'd have dinner around the hotel, walk there, and walk around the wharfs. The room was overall clean, it was a bit small, but it did serve out purposes. I wish there were 2 nightstands, there was only 1 and... More

Stayed here one night while visiting Newport. The inn is located on a small street that' right off the main shopping/riverfront area of Newport. It's one of four historic inns on the same street that are under common ownership (by Inns of Newport). All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, including not letting us carry our luggage up... More

Overall, it was a good experience. The owner is a "hands on" manager. He is accessible from 6 am until very late in the day. He will give you great ideas on how to spend your day sight seeing or will help you find the right type establishment ( food and price wise) for a meal. He has family members... More

I have not stayed in many B&B`s,so I'm not comparing only telling it like I found it. The rooms we had (3 couples)were very similar although there was a $20 a night differential. We stayed in back of the house on ground level. Our friends stayed on second floor. Small (4 tables)seating area for meeting and/or continental breakfast. Larger dining... More

We booked this online last-minute for a weekend getaway. When I called to alert the Inn that we would be late arriving, the owner offered us a better room for a nominal fee and was helpful advising about dinner reservations (it was peak summer season). Still, we had no trouble getting an outside table at Yesterday's across the street -... More

We stayed at the The Cleveland House during a mid week get away. After reading some of the reviews, and booking last minute- we weren't sure what to expect - but the accomodations exceeded all expectations! We arrived early, but were able to park in the lot and walk around. The location is perfect - close to Thames and all... More

Great Freedom Adventures, a New England based cycle touring company, booked four rooms at the Clarkeston for four couples for three nights, and we are very happy to commend the Inn's fantastic service and accommodations. Every single client had raving reviews of their stay, and we will certainly patron the Clarketon again for future tours!

This is my second time staying at the Cleveland House and once again, I was thrilled!!! The location is fantastic! Close to the visitors center, shopping, eating, everything! The breakfast each morning was awesome! The fruit is fresh, coffee is perfect, and the Orange juice is fresh squeezed! The variety is plentiful; blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs, French toast, and sausage.... More

This is my second visit to this historic B&B that lies in the proximity to Thames St. I and another couple thoroughly enjoyed our visit in Sept 2013 so I and a different couple visited just this past week. Ric, the owner, should give classes on hotel management. He is just terrific and adds to the fun and enjoyment of... More
