My wife and I recently spent four days at the Hydrangea House Inn to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The inn is perfectly situated on Bellevue Avenue within walking distance of great restaurants, downtown Newport and Touro Synagogue. The inn is beautiful, furnished with period pieces and historic in design and structure. Breakfasts are served in the spacious dining room and... More

My husband and I recently spent a lovely weekend at the Hydrangea House B&B. We couldn't have chosen a nicer place to stay for our 1st visit to Newport!! The central location made seeing the sights very convenient and the breakfasts were amazing!!! No reason to look any further! Many thanks to Dennis, Grant, and Lisa for your hospitality. Deb... We stayed at the Inn in mid April and felt like we were visiting family. The Inn is beautifully decorated and comfortable throughout. Dennis and Grant were gracious hosts, ready with suggestions and answers to our questions. The breakfasts were delicious, and the afternoon wine and hors d'oeuvres were a treat. Don't forget to sit out on the back porch... More

I can personally not say enough about the Hydrangea House. I wanted to plan a romantic get away for my boyfriend and I and I had never visited Rhode Island before. I searched and searched and the Hydrangea House kept popping up. I called and spoke to Dennis and Grant and I couldn't have been more pleased. They helped me... More

This is a lovely B&B in a historic part of Newport, quiet side street, close to everything. The decor is luxurious. The owners and staff friendly, unobtrusive and knowledgable. We parked in front on the cobblestoned street to check in and had spacious off street parking readily accessible behind the inn. The Winter Garden Suite was magnificently spacious and we... More

This B&B is located on Bellevue Ave and could not be in a more central locale. Walking distance from anything you'd like to do and restaurants you have chosen to dine at. Our room was fantastic. Excellent bed which made for a great nights sleep, very nice size bathroom with a huge walk in shower..great for 2 even:). Late afternoon... More

Never written one of these reviews before. Never have felt compelled to do one, that is until now. Have stayed at a lot of B&B's on both coasts and in between. Most were charming and quaint. This one is no exception. What sets it apart is the hospitality and the graciousness of the hosts. It's their personalities that truly make... More

This was our first stay at Hydrangea House and the Winter Garden Suite was spacious, and quiet. We enjoyed our private steam room and Jacuzzi. The hosts were very gracious and did a great job serving us a delicious breakfast that was dairy free as we required. The location was excellent for exploring the city. Sail Newport, a public sailing... More

This is our second stay at the Hydrangea House. We were not disappointed. Everything was as wonderful as the first time. Robert, who is the night manger was great at offering suggestions on things to do and places to eat, very friendly and knowledgeable. This time we stayed in the Oak room which was just beautiful and very well appointed.... More
