We stayed at the harborside inn for one night. We - 4 people - had a bigger room with two king size beds on two different level. The room was big, but the bathroom small. Nevertheless everything was very clean and breakfast (small one) included. The breakfast can be taken on the first level in a very nice sea side... more

For years I have frequented Newport, R.I. and stayed in MANY of the hotels in t6he area. The Harborside Inn is by far the BEST hotel in Newport! Kim, the manage is wonderful and one would think that this is her hotel by the way she cares about her guests. I was Dir of Sales with Hilton for many years... more

We just got back from a weekend stay with another couple at the Harborside. PROS:The location was nice (on the harbor central location) , and the on site parking was a plus. The room was O.K. CONS: The funky, must smell (mentioned in previous review) in both our room and the other couple's room. Several of the young staff worked... more

my husband and I and two other couples stayed at the Harborside Inn for four wonderful nights. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We felt right at home. Extremely clean rooms and the staff was very attentive and so friendly. The manager Kim was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! We just loved her. This was our second time there but... more

I had to plan a bachelorette party for a friend and find a hotel that was able to hold 9 girls and stay within a budget. Kim, the manager was MORE then accomodating to us. She and another staff member not only took the time to decorate the room for me after I had sent her stuff, but they printed... more

I selected this hotel because of its location. I was not familiar with Newport and wanted to be close to the water. Here is my evaluation: Pro: - Very nice breakfast room overlooking the harbor - Parking in an area where parking is a premium - Within walking distance to all major tourist areas - Little balcony overlooking the harbor... more

We stayed at the Harborside Inn for a quick overnight in Newport with our 5 yr old twins. We stayed in the Harborview Suite, which had fantastic views and was actually quite nice. Be aware that there is a very steep step ladder up to the loft portion of the room, husband and I both bumped our heads on the... more

Stayed here a few years ago and loved it. Very disppointed in how run down this place has become. Carpeting was so dirty that I kept my socks on. Windows had handprints along with general dirtiness. Bed and pillows were awful. Went looking for a piece of paper and pencil and the drawer handle fell apart in my hand! No... more

We stayed at the Harborside Inn Hotel for a Saturday and Sunday night whilst in from London for a wedding. We paid a lot of money for our room and we were travelling with a 7 1/2 month old. They placed us in a room directly over the bar from the next door hotel which had a live band playing... more
