The room is very bland, there was a bug on the wall, the bathroom needed a lot of repainting and was dingy, the tub definitely not been cleaned, and they were dark stains on the towels. Next time I would spend more money and stay elsewhere.

Close to historic Newport and all it has to offer. The place was the only last minute offering available for less than 300 per night. So the price is reasonable but you really get nothing more than that. Mold in bathrooms made my wife not take a shower. It was funny in a way BC I have never seen her... More

My friend chose to stay at the Pineapple Inn because it was one of the least expensive motels outside of the more expensive Newport, Rhode Island. I think at the time of our stay, this motel was being renovated. A young Middle Eastern couple were the managers along with, perhaps, their parents. Our bathroom was the best room with new... More

I made a reservation and needed to cancel it due to medical emergency in my family. I called 71 hours prior to my expected arrival. I was told the cancellation policy requires 72 hours. I understood that but asked under these circumstances could I make the cancellation. The discourteous person answering the phone explained I needed to talk to the... More

If you are only looking for a marginally decent place to stay for a night or two, this motel should be o.k. The setting and motel exterior are pretty grim, so we were expecting the worst. However our room was comfortable and clean (if very worn around the edges). On the plus side, proximity to central Newport is great (under... More

The worst experience ever we had! This is a motel, actually, not the classic inn you should imagine. We got the strong smell in our hair and clothes after checked in the office where the store owner was apparently cooking. The non-smoking room smelt like smoking room. We had no internet connection after called three times, each time we were... More

The best thing about our stay at the Pineapple Inn was that the bikers in the next room were quiet and settled in early. And we know it was only a 2-star facility but my grandmother used to say, "You're never too poor to have soap and water." The room was dark, dingy and very dirty. There were long black... More

This is the worst place I've ever stayed in. The room smelled like smoke and filth. The sheets had blood stains on them. I don't think I have to go into any more detail. Run away! Every hotel/motel we called were booked so we had no choice but to sleep here. If you do be sure to bring socks, sweatpants,... More

Very nice "mom & pop" type motel. The place is older and its not the "Ritz", but it's very clean and quiet, and the staff is very helpful & friendly. It's only a few minutes from center city Newport. We have stayed there several times, winter and summer, and have not been disappointed.

We were in town for a wedding and opted to go a cheaper route and stay here- worst decision ever. Dirty towels, pillows, and bathroom; smeared bugs and blood/ brown stains on the walls; the staff said they had no more clean towels to replace the stained ones; sketchy people hanging around the hotel at odd hours; they charged us...
